I waited until the car disappeared around the corner. The sound of something moving through the trees across from me caught my attention. This bus stop is opposite a city park which is quite big, I can't see anything but the shadows of the trees and the darkness. I quickened my pace toward the house, when I saw Alex's car parked next to Dad's car.
Dad was standing at the door when I walked in. He was on the phone with a serious expression. His gaze shifted to me instantly, "Cara!"
