One evening, as the moon bathed the Whispering Woods in silver light, Jasper the Jay returned from a scouting flight with urgent news. "I saw a strange glow near the heart of the woods! It wasn’t fire, but it flickered like one."
The animals gathered beneath the Grand Oak, murmuring in curiosity and concern. "A glow? That’s never happened before," said Willow the Wise Owl. "We must investigate carefully."
Determined to uncover the mystery, Oliver, Fiona, Bartholomew, and Jasper set off, weaving through the dense forest toward the source of the glow. As they neared a clearing, they spotted it—a pulsating, ethereal light hovering above the ground.
"What is that?" whispered Oliver, inching closer.
Before anyone could respond, the light shifted, revealing the outline of a small, glowing creature. It had shimmering wings, delicate like a dragonfly's, and eyes filled with wonder.
"Who are you?" Fiona asked cautiously.
"I am Lyra, a guardian of the forest," the creature responded in a melodic voice. "I have come because a great change is upon your woods. The balance of nature is in danger."
The animals exchanged worried glances. "What kind of danger?" asked Bartholomew.
"A disturbance beyond these trees threatens the harmony of the land. The poachers you faced are only the beginning. Darker forces are at work," Lyra warned.
Jasper flapped his wings anxiously. "What should we do?"
Lyra’s glow dimmed slightly. "You must prepare. The Whispering Woods will need all of you to stand strong. I will return when the time is right. Until then, be watchful."
With that, the glowing creature vanished, leaving the animals in silence. The woods, once a peaceful haven, now held an uncertain future. But one thing was clear—they would stand together, no matter what challenges lay ahead.
