Marry me Andre

“Leaving so soon Miss Avia?” I stopped dead in my tracks. “ aren't you meant to be sleeping" I asked as I slowly turned around to see him sitting on the bed staring at me. " Sorry I woke you up, it wasn't intentional" I rubbed my sweaty palms nervously behind me as I stood in the doorway “You're just going to leave like that, without saying goodbye?” I really did not understand why he was being so emotional about this but I had to stop him and right now " This is just a one time thing okay so I don't want you thinking something else" I didn't want any form of confusion here " Was it just a one time thing for you though,” he walked up to where I was in just his briefs, such a disgusting sight. " Didn't feel like it last night when you were moaning my name out loud” he hummed in my ear as his hands snaked around my waist “Uhm, no thank you" I said firmly as I detangled myself from him. I dug my hands into my purse then brought out a $100 bundle and handed it to him, “here. Let's both agree nothing happened last night. Okay?" I turned around and walked out the door. I had never felt more disgusted and disappointed about myself in my entire life. “Miss Avia, your driver has been waiting for you," the receptionist informed me as I walked out of the elevator. “I got into the car and asked the driver to take me back to my hotel room. The moment I was back in my room I changed into something more comfortable and headed out to buy some of Damian's favorite treats. I was going back to Houston today with my baby and my faithful help Ronnie. I couldn't contain myself, I screamed out in Joy. Everything was going perfect, life was perfect now. I was safe, my baby was safe. “Avia!" Ronnie screamed my name as I opened the door. Damian got down from Ronnie's arms and jumped into mine, “My world!" I exclaimed and lifted him up in the air. I looked at Ronnie and gave her a tight hug, “thank you," I squeezed her palms and looked into her eyes, “for everything. For stepping up for me" “I'm not going to sit around and watch another woman go through what I went through. I'm here for you Avia" she comforted me. Her comforting words stuck like glue to my heart. We had dinner that night and spoke for a long time. I told her about the meeting with the lawyer. “What are you going to do Avia?” Ronnie's brow squinted with fear, “how do you want to find someone suitable on such short notice” she tapped her fingers on the desk waiting eagerly for my answer " I'll work it out,” I said after a long pause then sipped on my glass of wine, gasped and a little feeling of anger sparked inside of me. Damian was the last piece of me I didn't want anyone hurting. I had to protect and guide this little gift of mine with everything in me. The next morning we were all packed and ready to go back to Houston. I was done with work in Paris and couldn't wait to be back home. While in my cubicle on the plane, I perceived a familiar scent from Paris. I looked to see who it was in the cubicle opposite me but I couldn't. The only perfect disadvantage of first class. The scent got stronger when I heard the person's door open up. This cologne brought back so many memories like a flash. I was curious to know who it was. To see who it was. “Oh it's alright I'll take the white wine" there was a pause followed by the flight attendant's voice then this familiar stranger's voice. I really hoped it wasn't who I thought it was The drive from the airport to my home was calming. The joy that came from the feeling of accomplishment and having a sense of structure in my life was satisfying. After a long hot shower I decided to respond to a few emails before locking in with my bed that night. Then I got a strange email: ‘You really were just gonna leave without saying goodbye?’. It had to be that low life creep. If this continued I'd have to put up a restraining order for him. I rounded off what I was doing and called it a night. The next morning I was back at the office, looking over Houston from my office was literally the best sight ever. “Glad to have you back in the office , boss. Shall we begin with what we have for the day?” I smiled and nodded. Penelope was always so business minded which was one of the reasons why she got the job. I needed someone who was always going to push me to go harder plus she was technically the only friend I had now. As we went through my Itinerary for the day I got a call from an unknown number. I hesitated picking up the call at first but when it kept bothering Penelope and I had to be turned off. After work I went to the mall for a quick grocery shopping and ran into the last person I expected to see. I called out to him right before my brain could even think for me. “Avia," oh my goodness he remembered my name but I didn't remember his. He walked up to me to give me a hug but I stepped back, “Hi" I responded nervously. We were at a mall filled with thousands of people watching us. I didn't know how to react “You don't remember my name do you" and he read my mind. I threw my head back slightly and gave a sly laugh “Of course I do, haha" “Okay, then…." He raised a brow at me with his lips pressed together waiting for me to call out his name. “Alvin!" I said with a confident smile. He rolled his eyes then gave a lazy sigh, “Andre. It's Andre" " Writing that down for sure” I gave him a thumbs up and side stepped him to walk away quickly but he caught up with me. Of course “Surprised you could even recognize me" I used my side eyes to observe him, he was looking at me, and intensely. “It's just been five days ago. And why would I forget someone I shared such a core memory with in Paris" he spoke softly like that night was one he could never forget “I guess I left my mark" I spared him a glance and giggled. He gave me one of those smirks, the type that got me arching my back for him “You did”, " on every single part of me" he muttered while giving me a gentle smile I refused to be pricked by his words and kept walking. His voice was intense when he said those words, like I had engraved my name on his heart or something. “What are you doing here?" I was curious to know why he was here. Was he following me? Because I was so ready to call the cops immediately if he was “I'm a contract worker, remember? Designated driver, on a contract?" He searched my face hoping I would remember our heartfelt conversation “Oh yeah. Yes I do. So how long will you be in town?" Darn it! Really Avia. I let my heart do the thinking this one time and it failed me yet again “I see you do miss me" he lips turned into a bright warm curve as he helped me get my things into the trunk of my car. “Don't flatter yourself" I locked the truck then walked to drivers seat “Well, I'll be in town for a couple of days,” he held the door for me while I got in, “depending on how long my contractor stays” " Oh that's alri-” that unknown number was calling again. " Aren't you going to pick that up?" Andre asked. “It's not important. I'm pretty sure it's a stalker. When I don't pick up he'll stop calling eventually" “Are you sure? What if it's something really important though you can never tell" he sounded a bit too worried for something that did not concern him I took my phone out of my pockets to see who it was blowing my phone up, it was a text from Ethan. I squeezed my phone a bit then threw it i n my bag. I looked up to Andre with the sickest look of confidence, " Will you marry me?”
