Chapter 9 -Sam's Perspective

855 Words
I was completely freaking out Natasha had taken the last few days off work and wasn't talking to anyone, so I didn't even know what state of mind she was in. I mean, did she think I would leave or that I didn't want this baby? I wasn't really ready to be a father either, but I was willing to step up and do this because I loved Natasha, and this was what was thrown at us right now. We should be dealing with this together, but instead she runs off alone and refuses to answer any of my ten calls or many texts I had sent her. I was keeping busy with work. I mean, I was down one server, so as the boss, I had to fill that position myself, which was going about as well as could be expected. I was breaking dishes and f*****g up left and right. I had no idea how to be a server. I was the boss for crying out loud. God, I couldn't wait until Natasha came back to work but at the same time, I needed her to take as much time as she needed so she wouldn't pass out again from over doing it at work. She needed a break. I really wish she wouldn't push herself so hard. She never took a break even though they were offered, and I barely ever even saw her eat anything. It's no wonder she fainted when her body is also trying to grow life as well. One thing was for sure, she needed to take better care of herself when she came back, and I would have to try to make sure she did or something like that would just end up happening again. I decided right then and there I was going to marry this woman. As I was getting ready to leave, I noticed a text message from Natasha on my phone saying we needed to talk. I felt like my whole stomach flipped upside down at the sight of the message. I was worried about what she would say, mostly that she would want to get rid of the baby, which I was not ok with in any way, but I realized I had absolutely no say in it. She wanted to meet at my apartment and talk, so I headed out towards my apartment, mentally freaking out the whole car ride. As soon as I pulled up to my apartment, I saw her standing there with her long blonde hair and beautiful blue eyes and my heart fluttered. I knew that this was the woman I wanted to spend the rest of my life with, and I needed to tell her that immediately before she took off somewhere, and I lost the chance. As I walked up to Natasha standing there, I noticed she looked as if she was about to cry. I mean, she looked more terrified than I was, and it pained me to see her this way. "Come on in we should talk inside." I said motioning for the door. Natasha nodded as she followed me inside. Once we got inside, it was really quiet, and you could feel the anxiety in the air. "Look, I'm just as surprised by this and terrified as you are." I said trying to calm her emotions. "Really? You're scared?" Natasha asked a little surprised. "Well yeah, I wasn't exactly expecting this, at least not yet our relationship." I said. "Well, what do we do now?" She asked, seeking answers from me like I must know. "Well one step at a time, first I think you should move in with me." I said calmly. "Yeah, I guess that's a given." Natasha Sniffled out a little. "Come here." I said pulling her into my warm embrace in an attempt to calm her down a little. "It'll be ok we got this; we will figure this out together." I said reassuringly as she slowly pulled away from my embrace. "Ok." She said seeming convinced. "When do you want me to move in?" Natasha asked. "You could move in today as far as I'm concerned." I said. Natasha was taken back a little in surprise by this but quickly regained her composure. "Ok but maybe not right this second, do you have anything to eat I'm starving." Natasha said. "Hang on I'll make you something right now. Do you like grilled cheese sandwiches?" I asked. "Yeah that's fine." Natasha said quietly. I quickly whipped up some grilled cheese sandwiches for both of us, realizing I hadn't eaten all day and was starving. Once we were done eating our sandwiches, I found us once again left in awkward silence. I was racking my brain trying to find something to say when Natasha finally broke the silence. "You know, I'm already pregnant. I don't think I can get anymore pregnant..." Natasha Said with a smirk. That was all it took for me to grab her up bridal style in my arms in one swift motion, causing her to squeal a little before taking her off to the bedroom.
