The following day, Leo didn’t come to pick him up; he sent Eeli a text message. Eeli stood behind the bathroom door again. They talked while Leo showered, and then Eeli helped him to the couch and warmed a microwave meal for him. Leo didn’t have much of an appetite, but he ate some mashed potatoes and two meatballs. Eeli thought it peculiar he didn’t mind Leo talking. He actually liked arguing about silly things like strawberry lube and criminal fairy tale characters. And of course, robots. Leo wanted to know more about the units Eeli had made, and Eeli sent him links to his videos afterwards. Leo answered by texting how cool it would be to see Eeli’s creations live.
