It took a few days to settle in the new routine. Visiting hours in the ward started after lunch time, and usually Eeli ate at home, and then went to the hospital. He sat in Leo’s room chatting and watching movies with him, working on his computer while Leo slept. At seven P.M. the department doors were closed for visitors, and Eeli left, went shopping for groceries, or played tennis with Patrik.
While focusing entirely on Leo, he didn’t realize how weird some members of the staff acted towards him. They weren’t directly rude, but they weren’t friendly either, in that chirpy manner the nurses in this ward seemed to favor.
