Jason raised his eyebrows and shoved away Veronica silently as he looked at Charlotte.
He recalled that Charlotte was always smart and knew what she should do. She kept things to herself instead of overreacting.
Charlotte thought that Jason was blaming her, and out of exhaustion, she didn't bother to hide anything, so she said indifferently, "Take her away now, or I might beat her up again."
Veronica widened her eyes. "How dare you!"
"You haven't had enough from the beating, have you? Whatever happens to my mom will happen to you as well." With that, Charlotte leaned back against her chair and closed her eyes, trying to keep Jason and Veronica out of sight.
The officer reminded her, "You need to get someone to bail you out, Ms. Seinfield, or you'll be detained for engaging in a fight.
