Jason stopped and questioned in a gloomy voice, "What's wrong? Have you enjoyed yourself enough with Silas?"
His blatant humiliation crushed Charlotte, making her come back to her senses.
In the pale moonlight, Charlotte got up with a straight face. She looked at Jason as she calmly asked, "Did you ask your men to stalk me?"
Jason denied it with disdain. "Why would I need to stalk you?"
His indifference hurt Charlotte mercilessly.
After a long silence, Charlotte suddenly sneered. "Right. You still have my mom, so what could I do about that, Mr. Langley?"
Jason was rendered speechless before he said exasperatedly, "I thought you'd defend yourself. You have no morals in you now, do you?"
He was showing zero respect to Charlotte as he acted like a mad kid who had his toy taken away.
