At 8 p.m. in the Lumen Bay Restaurant, Charlotte arrived at her reserved table early.
Unexpectedly, Silas was already there.
She was surprised for a moment before she quickly wore a smile. "I didn't expect you to be so early, Mr. Hoyce."
"Since I'm seeing you, of course, I have to be more than punctual, Ms. Seinfield." There was a tender look in Silas's gray-greenish eyes as he gracefully sat down opposite her.
The restaurant hall resounded with melodious piano music, and the dancers danced in a pleasing manner.
Charlotte glanced at it before she cut to the chase to make her intentions clear. "Mr. Hoyce, I wonder if I can ask you to help me investigate someone."
