Charlotte had never imagined that she would one day use the word "stubborn" to describe Jason. She almost blurted it out, but she hurriedly held it back, looking at him with the desire to speak. After a long while, she said "Of course, you're not that petty, Mr. Langley."
She was in a good mood. With an idea in mind, she added, "But that place has a really good scenery. I plan to..."
Jason interrupted her. "We'll be very busy in the following days. Drop the idea of going out to have fun."
He was simply a ruthless boss.
Charlotte complained inwardly, but she didn't stop smiling. She found it easier than before to handle her work. It was one thing that she decided to leave Jason. Before leaving, she found it okay to enjoy the occasional emotional value provided by Jason.
