Chapter 11 “Raf!” He swam in the gloom of slumber, vaguely aware of someone calling his name. Rafael snuggled deeper into the blankets, slipping an arm under his pillow. Slumber teased him with the promise of good dreams, tantalizing fantasies. After the previous night’s moment by the creek, Rafael found it hard to think of anything else. He fell into bed with the one question on his mind; how did Chad look without jeans? “Oh, Rafael Pederos, you get up right now,” growled his sister from downstairs. Déjà vu, he thought, sitting up. A quick glance at the window revealed very little in the way of light. The numbers on his alarm clock spoke of another early rising. What could possibly be wrong now?
