Chapter 2

}Robin's POV{

as I was walking to the lake, I quickly notice someone. A guy with a good body built was sitting down on a rock looks like waiting for someone with only a sweat pants on and no shirt.

I walked up leaving a 6 feet distance between us. The guy turned around and stood up when he saw me. And it was him, the guy from last night.

"Hi!" he said while smiling with excitement on his face.

"hey!" I said back shyly. "Im sorry, I didnt know someone is already here. I said kind of backing up pretending I wasnt expecting him.

"oh no wait." he said. "I uh. im actually hoping to see you here." he said with a little shyness

"oh uhm, why is that?" I asked kind off move a little toward him.

"its just that I forgot to ask you your name" he said with a smile. "oh and introduce myself. Im James Coplin." he said reaching his hands to me trying to make a hand shake.

"Im Robin" I said ignoring his hands. "nice to meet you." I said smiling sarcastically making him withdraw his hands.

"do you always go here?" he asked breaking the awkwardness.

"yeah" I replied.

"its nice here huh?" he said looking at the view. "so beautiful" he said looking at me now.

"uhm yeah" I said feeling awkward. "I think I should go now" I said trying to leave.

"wait!" he said. "im sorry if i scared or creeped you out. I should be the one going. Seems like this has been your spot"

"no, its okay, you can stay" I said. "I just remember I need to do something"

"will I be seeing you again?" James asked while I was about to leave.

"yeah, I think, maybe, I dont know" I replied. Then left.

It has been a week since then and a school event was coming up so everyone at school was busy.

On lunch, while doing my usual stuff Anthony came up to me.

"Hi!" He said while sittung next to me.

"hey!" I replied moving a little away from him.

"look!" He said facing me. "I know Im not in the right place to ask you this but I want to appologize.."

"No!" I said cutting him off. "Anthony, stop! It has been a few months now and I have started to move on"

"I know, its just that, I regret hurting you like that. You dont deserve it." He said trying to make me feel better. "and I just really wanted to talk to you." he added.

"Look, Anthony, whatever happened then, its okay now. Just please leave me alone, before Ashley sees us." I said moving away from him.

"I just really hope you will give me a chance to speak with you" Anthony saud while getting up from his seat.

I just looked at him and looked back down when Alin is approaching that made Anthony leave.

"What was that?" Alin asked while sitting next to me and pointing to the direction Anthony went.

"its nothing!" I said with a sigh

"is he bothering you?" Alin said concerned.

"just dint mind it." I said assuring her

Alin just shrudder her shoulder. "So, what are you going to wear?" she asked

"Nothing" I said "Im not going"

"What?" Alin said with shock. "Why not?"

"That dance will be a waste of my time" I said. " and also, there is w

something that I needed to do." I told her making excuses.

"and what will you be doing?" She asked with doubt.

"nothing" I said not thinking.

"see!" Alin said giving her point. "youre just making exuces. You are not gonna let your bestfriend to go by herself, wont you?" she said acting like a child.

"Come on, Alin" I said. "you are going with Jerome, arent you? Then you dont me there"

"ugh" Alin Sighed with disappointment. "you used to be the most outgoing fierce human being I know. And since your break up with Anthony you never wanna hang out." she said crossing her arms and pouting her lips.

Yeah, she's right. I used to be fun. I used to be cool. I used to be.. Until Anthony broke my heart and left me with that low-class Ashley for s*x. You heard it right. Anthony always sents off signs that he wanted to do it, but Im not ready yet. Even though I loved him so much and I know he loved me back then and tried to respect my decision he was pressured by his friends and Ashley is willing to do it for him, so he was tempted. He didnt really broke up with me, I did. I caught them having s*x. So I broke up with him. And he started going out with Ashley, didnt even tried to go after me, which made it even painful.

"I'm sorry, I didnt mean to say that." Ashley said when she notice I was staring blankly and hugged me from the side.

I smiled at her and rubbed her arms assuring her it is okay and leaned my head to hers.

"Are you sure you really don't want to come?" Alin said on the phone. "you know you can always have your way in my closet" still trying to get me join her to the dance.

"Yes, Alin. Im sure." I replied while laying down talking to her over the phone. "Besides, Im very eager to finish this book Im reading. It'll make me busy the whole night." I assured her.

"okay then! I'll go ahead and finish getting ready. Jerome will be here soon." She said. "Bye!"

"Bye, Alin. Enjoy!" I said hanging up.

A couple of hours has passed and I got a little bored. I sat down from lyung down and closed the book I was reading. I looked out the window and thought of going to the lake.

I grabbed my jacket and car keys and drove off to the lake.

I was sitting on the grass beside the lake playing with the water and fishes, then suddenly a rock was thrown to the water creating a splash that made me wet.

I stood up with shock and looked up seeing the guy from before.

"What was that for?!" I shouted at him.

"Im sorry, I was trying to get your attention, I didnt mean to get you wet." He said with an appologetic look on his face.

"Well, you got my attention now." I said sarcastically while shaking off the water.

He said he's sorry once again.

"What do you want now?" I irritatedely said.

"I, uhm. Actually, Ive been going up here everyday to see if I will be able to see you, uhm, again." He said getting shy.

"And why is that? I wasnt even being nice to you." I said.

"Actually, you are nice." He said smiling. "You were just untrusting. Well, of course I understand that since I am a stranger, and who am I to argue with that Im just a mere rogue." He then stopped and looked down feeling ashamed. "Im sorry, I shouldnt even talk to you." he said trying to turn his back and leave.

"Wait! Hold on!" I said stopping him. "It doesnt matter if you are a rogue. I'll be glad to accept your friendship." I may have said it out of sympathy, but still I find him interesting and I think I really want him to be my friend.

"Really?" He said with joy in his face

"yeah. I dont see anything wrong with it." I replied.

"Thanks" He said as his face lit up even more.

We both giggled.

}Alin's POV{

"Lets go Baby, lets dance." Jerome said reaching his hands out.

"Maybe later babe. I dont feel dancing at the moment." I said to him making a baby face.

"What is wrong?" he said while sitting down next to me. "you have been quiet"

"Well, first, Robin seems off lately." I told Jerome as I crossed my arms. "and seems like she is not telling me everything." I continued with a pout.

Jerome reached out to me holding my arms. "Maybe she just needed her own space. Especially, we are always together and she just got her heart broken." Jerome said trying to make sense. "She might not want to see us being cheesy and her on the other side is being bitter. Maybe, she just doesnt want to ruin our fun because she is in pain."

"But isnt more easy for her to have company than bore herself and made her more think about it?" I said trying to debate.

"Yeah baby, but like I said. She might not want to ruin our fan and moments just because she is sad. She dont want to be selfish" Jerome assured me. "Im sure Robin will be fine soon and will be back to her feet.

"Okay, as you say so!" I said smirking at him.

"so, should we go dance now?" Jerome asked offering his hands again. I grabbed his hands and nodded. Jerome helped me stand and we went to the dance floor and had a great night dancing.

}Anthony's POV{

This party is boring, its not fun without Robin. Robin always makes parties and dances like this joyful and meaningful. But now, its just plain boring for me.

"Come on babe, lets dance" Ashley said trying to pull me to the dance floor.

"No, thanks. Im tired." I said to her bluntly.

"what is your problem?" Ashley said with irritaion and embarrassement.

"please, dont start this!" I said as I know Ashley will create some drama. And Im just tired of it. Im so tired of this bullshit.

"what do you mean?" Ashley said as if she dont a clue what she's tryna do.

"Ashley, just please, stop!" I said with ultimatum in my voice. "or else."

"or else what?" She said putting her hands on her waist trying to scare me as if I will be scared.

"that's it. This is over Ashley." I growled standing up facing her. "You are driving me crazy." and then left.

Ashley just stood there still cannot sync what I just said.

As I was walking down the crowd I saw Alin watched what just happen. We looked at each other for a few seconds and I went out to my car and drove off.

While I was driving around trying to look for a place to think, I saw Robin's car parked near the woods that leads to a lake. I parked my car and went to the lake hooing to find her.

}Robin's POV{

James and I are just talking about each other, well, technically about me. I was getting comfortable talking to him then suddenly I received a phone call from Alin. I excused myself from James.

"whats up?" I said as I picked up.

"you wont believe what just happened" Alin said kinda screaming with excitement.

"what? is everything alright?" I ask making sure nothing is wrong.

"Everything is fine!" Alin assured. "Well, aside from Ashley." she said

"Why? What happended?" I said with curiosity.

"Anthony just dumped her!" Alin screamed. "In front of everybody, saying he is tired of her"

"Oh my god." I said. "poor Ashley" I continued feeling sad for Ashley.

"What are you talking about?" Alin said confused to what I was saying. "She deserved that. You dont have to feel bad for her." She said with disgust.

"if you say so" I said. "well as long as you are safe there is nothing for me to be concerned about.

"that's it?" She asked with dismay, expecting something more from me.

"well, yeah!" I said "What else do you want me to say? I told you, I have been moving on and I dont exoect Anthiny to get back with me, besides, I dont want to."

"Just like that?" Alin said with disbelief. "Ypu've been together for 3 yrs and you will just throw it away now that you have your chance again?

"no Alin. you got it wrong. He was the one who threw everything away." I said getting furious. "I have to go. Talk to you soon." I said then hanged up.

I had enough of that conversation. I know Alin only cares for me but sometine she is not thinking right.

"Im sorry about that" I said to James as I was walking back to where I was seating then suddenly someone from behind came out. And to my surprise it was Anthony.

James stood up with me and just stares at Anthony not knowing what is happening bacause I turned frozen from where I am standing.
