, , , ' ℑ ' S T A R K (Y/n) I'm losing my mind. It feels like I will never escape this place, escape him to be specific. I cried when he left me and screamed for help, am I so deep down in the dirt that no one can hear me? Because I feel like I've screamed so loud, there's no way nobody heard me. Is it an empty house up there? Where exactly am I? The only thing I know is I'm still in New York. All the books he bought are a reminder of himself, all of these are about a person without empathy. If he can kill those girls, why not me too? Which part in me calms his demons down? I've been walking inside this box for a while now, he left the house this morning for college. College, he's still studying, the people around him have no idea about his dark side. What about his light side? Is that what he shows them? Because I barely see any of that. But his kiss was as bright as the sun. It almost convinced me he could be normal too. Oh, how it could be so much easier if he was to just say hi to me. If nobody ever hurt his soul and turned him into a monster. What exactly happened to him? Something must've hurt him badly when he was younger, when he crawled into this room that night he was a lost child, innocent part of his is afraid of himself. The only hope for me is to keep the innocent part of him alive, along with myself. P A R K E R They left me in Steve's office with nothing but files I already knew the information of, I waited for a while, observed Steve Rogers and his personal life until I felt like it wouldn't be so bad to get out and have some fun. I opened the door and looked around. The lab, I could use the lab, all the stuff I borrowed from the university's lab might be handy but nothing is as fancy as FBI's. I walked into it and found Helen Cho. She glanced up at me. Then stared like I did something bad. "Hello." She said. "Uhh... Hi. I'm Peter Parker, Mr. Rogers was probably too hurried to introduce me so I figured I should do it myself." I smiled at her, reached out to shake her hand. "I'm working." She showed me that she was wearing gloves over some samples. "Oh? Sorry. I'm so stupid. You don't mind me coming in here, don't you?" I asked her. "Just don't touch anything." She said, she ignored me so hard. "May I ask what is it you're doing? I could use some scientific facts to help me." "Listen. I don't even know why Fury let Rogers in and Rogers let you in. I don't care. But if you disturb me when I work, I'll have no choice but ask you to leave." Oh s**t, Ms. Cho is not so friendly. "C' mon Helennn." Someone joined the lab, I turned to see Phil Coulson. "I'm sure he's not a problem." I laughed back. "I'm Peter Parker." "I already know that. I'm Phil Coulson, and this is Helen Cho, we're the lab geeks." He smiled, he's the opposite of her. "Actually we have Bruce too but I have no idea where he is..." "I wanted to say hello because I haven't properly introduced myself. I hope I'm not causing problems." I said in the most innocent voice ever that I cringed at myself. "No! You're not. Come on. Let me show you around." "..." "....What?" He laughed bitterly at how I froze with a smile. "You'll show me around?" "Yeah! You already sighed the paper already did you? We're family now. We need to team up and you'll need to know how we do things to help us catch this motherfucker!" He said. I nodded at him. How sweet. How easy. He will help me a great deal in going in and out of this place. "Wow. Thank you." Phil Coulson is too friendly to even doubt if I could ever do him harm. Of course, I could, at least not right now. He showed me the place, showed me everyone's office, it took us a while, I remembered all that he told me, these could be helpful. "What about this room?" We stopped in front of a door with a passcode, looking thicker and other doors. "This is the morgue." He gave me a naughty look for some reason. "You still have all the bodies?" I kind of know they'll keep the girls, but I had no idea they're all inside this building. "Yup. We moved all of them here." "Altogether?" "Yes. It's the biggest case the world's having right now, they would give us the whole building if we get the guy." "It's locked all the time?" "Unless you have this keycard. All the members of the lab team have one." He showed me his card with his face in it. Access to the victims' body, also check. Hm. Not really. The security camera's everywhere. I now have a lab person, now I need a tech one. Who's taking care of technology around here? Phil noticed something about me and said. "I know it must be exciting meeting real FBI before your friend could ever make it here, but seeing dead bodies is not something to brag about, trust me." "Oh? It's not like that. I won't take these experiences as a bluff, I just wanna catch the guy, so I was thinking if I get a closer look I might be able to analyze something." He looked hesitated. He might let me. "I would let you, but stuff like this you need Barnes to make a report and ask Fury for permission." He pointed me the way through. "Oh, I think they're back." He looked at the main door. We watched Rogers and Barnes walked in with a bed with a new body. Every person in the lab all walked to them like ants seeing sugar to the new body of a girl, who... I didn't kill. I have no idea who that was or who did it. "When a new body arrives all of us take a look together, brainstorming, you're lucky that you could join this since your first day," Phill told me, I swear he is too much into his work or a sociopath. "I'm lucky?" "Stop trying to get the new kid your puppy, Phill. I'm sorry if he's trying so hard for you to like him, he will use you walk in and out the samples." Bucky told me, Phil laughed. "Walk in and our samples," I repeated, hoping anyone might want to clarify that for me. "When we have samples we put it in a tube and sometimes have it analyze downstairs in the big lab, we need people to walk all the way down and up. You're gonna be that dude." Bruce Banner told me. Wait. That means I can f*****g change evidence. "I'd love to walk in and out for everyone." I smiled. "You'll regret that, we have like 20 things of evidence to walk a day," Barnes told me, then he removed the white sheets. "Rachel Ridley, nineteen, went to the party two days ago and never returned home, a security guard found her in the train station, though she was alive until he truly touching her and her body fell to the floor." "So is it the Spider or the Bird?" Phill asked. "The bird," Barnes said, no s**t. "Left us a note." She showed us the little note just like my style, it was in the evidence's bag. Steve took a look, then he said under his breath. "Come out... come out." "Is it a print? Not a handwriting?" Banned asked. "Yup," I replied, bending my face to look at the paper. Guess someone's not brave enough to risk like me, or too scared to put his neck in the line for a game. "Wanna?" Rogers handed me, I took the paper and looked at it closely. "It's a message," I said. "To who?" Bucky asked. "To whom." Steve fixed. To me. "To the Spider," I said. "Which is that?" Steve asked me. "Come out, come out. Wherever you are." I sang. "They're trying to get the Spider's attention, but it seems like the Spider doesn't really give a damn for their first kill, so they sent another message." "Still bird." Phill pointed at the flying birds. "They really want to call himself a bird." "Why so? They could've gone with like, the tiger. Birds just sound so free and vulnerable, you know?" Helen spoke up, everyone was kind of surprised she wanted to give advice. Everyone went quiet for a while as I looked down into the paper. How do they know I'll get the message? Do they know who I am? Or if they know I have a spy inside that could look at their work. Are they trying to impress me... or winning over me? Are they trying to be friends or enemies? Birds and Spiders... who wins? "Birds eat Spiders..." I said out while everyone was trying to make a point of the situation. "What'd you say?" Rogers asked. "It's a competition. The bird is trying to win, to fight. Come out, come out, wherever you are... he's trying to play the Spider." I told them. "Then eat." So lame. "Ugh.... We can't even catch the Spider now the Bird wants to be caught too." Coulson sighed. "My guess is that he's young, because, who would choose a f*****g bird--" I was trying to speak but then Steve stopped me. "Language." "Okay... sorry. I mean, who would choose a bird just to prove he can take down the Spider? Take a guess?" I asked everyone. "A lunatic?" Banner asked. "Nope. A teenager! I bet he googled, what animals eats Spiders and Birds were the first things that popped up." I chuckled. "He might really be useful." Helen walked away, she was talking about me. It seems this serial killer will fit right in with the FBI. _____________
