Uncovering secrets

“Ben, it's over now,” Iris says
“Okay, let me come pick you up,” Benjamin says as he hangs up the call, stands up, and heads towards his car. A few minutes later, he arrived at the bus stop close to the police station, where Iris stood waiting for him.
He comes out of the car opening the door for Iris.
“What's this?, special treatment?,” Iris says while looking at him in amazement.
He chuckles “Haha, come on, get in, let's go,” he says.
Iris gets in the car, and they drive off. After some minutes, they arrive at Iris’s house.
He drops her off and drives away. Iris gets inside the house. While walking upstairs, she comes across her stepmom.
“And what do you think you are doing here?” Anabelle says aggressively.
“Didn't I tell you not to come back home, you murderer?” says Anabelle in a hurtful manner.
“I'm not a murderer,” Iris says, trying to defend herself.
“Yes, you are!!!” she shouts out loud.
“ What makes you think I did it?” Iris asks.
“Well, isn't it obvious, you did it out of anger, you hated the fact that he remarried again, forgetting your mom,” Anabelle answered.
“That's not true,” Iris replied.
“Mom, why do you hate me so much that you use me in such a way?” Ris asks.
“This is not accusations, it's the truth,” Anabelle answers.
Iris couldn't take it anymore and left Anabelle's presence, heading towards her room.
“Where do you think you are going to,” Anabelle asks while approaching Iris aggressively. Iris remained silent, she was tired of her mom's accusations.
“Come back here I'm still talking to you, you murderer,” Anabelle says while trying to stop Iris.
Iris didn't care what Anabelle had to say, she entered her room, locking it while Anabelle banged on the door continuously.
Iris sits on her bed in frustration. She thinks of her father and wonders who could do such a thing. She gets up quickly, remembering the plan she made with Benjamin and what she has to do.
“I almost forgot,” she says to herself.
Meanwhile, Anabelle, standing at Iris's bedroom door, gets a call from an unknown number; she picks up the call immediately.
“Hello,” she says
“Boss, I'm at the warehouse just as you requested,” says the unknown number.
“Good! I'm on my way,” she replied.
Iris, on the other side of the door, accidentally overhears her. She thinks to herself “This is the perfect opportunity to search her room”.
Anabelle ends the call as she approaches her room, she gets her car key and heads towards her car outside.
Iris looks at the window in her room, waiting to see Anabelle's car drive off. After some minutes of waiting, she sees Anabelle's car drive off. She immediately leaves her room, heading towards Anabelle's room.
*Anabelle doesn’t stay in the same room with her husband Mr John*.
Iris paused. “Wait, I need to check if the twins are asleep before I continue. I don't want them catching me in the process,” she says to herself.
She heads towards the twins’ room, and slowly she opens their room door.
She sighs, “They are asleep, that's good,” she says quietly.
She enters Anabelle's room, hesitating a little, but continues. She searches every drawer and wardrobe but finds nothing.
She searches the bathroom, the trashcan still has nothing, and she stands tired of searching.
Meanwhile, at the warehouse, Anabelle meets with the man she spoke to on the phone.
“Evening Boss,” a man in black says
“No time for greetings, I have a task for you,” she says to the man while bringing out a file.
“Here is everything you need to know: you are to kill him, leaving no evidence behind,” she says. “Can you do the job?” She asks
“Of course Boss,” he says.
“Good,” she says while giving him the file.
At the house, Iris continues her search. After a few minutes of searching, she gives up and is about to leave the room, but she sees the bed, so she decides to search one last time. She raises the mattress up, and to her shock, she finds a file with the word secret file written boldly on it.
“Wow! Nice way of hiding a secret file,” she says sarcastically.
She picks it up and opens it. She sees a picture of Anabelle with another man and a torn-out piece of paper. She looks closely and sees the name of a hospital, the patient's name, and the discharge date written on the torn-out piece of paper.
She reads out "Har..Harmony Hospital.”
“Wait, isn't it the hospital my dad is currently in right now?” she says as she continues reading, “Patient, Mrs…Mrs Anabelle Williams!!!!,” she says in shock.
Before she could continue, she heard the sound of Anabelle's car from outside. She carries the picture and the torn-out piece of paper, she arranges the bed, and hurriedly leaves the room. Anabelle enters the living room, fortunately Iris enters her room on time. She breathes heavily as she sits on her bed looking at the picture and paper.
“It's not much but at least I was able to find something,” she says to herself.
Already tired she puts everything in her bag and gets ready to sleep.
After entering the living room Anabelle heads upstairs to check up on the twins.
She opens their room door and sees them sleeping. She smiles, she kisses them good night while saying, “I won't repeat the same mistake I did in the past”.
“I will do whatever it takes,” she says to herself.
