"Do you have feelings for someone currently?" Bentley asked Nova.
"No," her answer came faster than the speed of light, and Bentley could only raise a brow.
Bentley studied her for a moment, his expression rigid. "Are you sure about that?" he asked, his tone light but probing.
Nova nodded quickly, trying to appear nonchalant. "Absolutely. No feelings here."
Bentley didn’t seem convinced. Given that he had just overheard her conversation with Chloe, he had a reasonable doubt.
