Chloe stood outside Lucia's door, a bundle of cleaning supplies by her side, her hand raised to knock. She hesitated for a moment, wondering if Lucia was even inside. After all, Lucia rarely left her door unlocked if she wasn’t expecting someone, and Chloe had learned early on to tread lightly when it came to Franco’s mother.
She wasn't even supposed to be there trying to clean her room after all the stress that Lucia had given her. But there she was. She was a freak for cleanliness and besides that, she didn't think that she should allow her man's mother to clean her own room. She was a traditional woman when it comes to things like that and she was merely doing it as a form of respect.
Knock, knock.
Chloe knocked on the door. She knocked severally but still, there was no response.
