USS Independence
Shake Davis caught up with Lt. Kerry Dale Hunter in a passageway leading to the well-deck where seven SEALs were rigged and ready to launch their RIB toward the takedown of the Al Calipha. The detachment commander was Number 8 in the team chalk and anxious to join his men. Shake Davis was blocking his path in a very determined manner and Hunter realized he was in for a fight before the mission even got underway.
“I know why you’re here, Gunner. And the answer is no.”
“That’s your answer, and it’s the wrong one.”
