We had both gotten into Lily's car and she was already flying on the highway. "I'm not sure I want to be dead yet." I said a little very scared. "Oh come on." Lily said. "No need to be a scary cat. Lily is driving you." "That's exactly what is sacring me." I said. She laughed at me. "So how is that boring old town?" I shrugged as I managed to slowly adjust into my seat. "The same as usual. Everyone being judgmental." "Gosh I hate those people." She said. "We're on the same page don't worry." I assured her. "You know, I sort of lost a job because a woman said I was going to soil their reputation." I told her. Lily completely left looking at the road and turned to me. "No way." "Yes way. " I said and then I quickly reminded her that we were on the road. "I don't think I want to die. Look at the road!" Lily returned back to her eyes being on the road. She shook her head.  "Motherfuckers. I told you didn't I?" She said very pissed off. "I want to break their necks." "Well some people were nice to me." I said with a shrug. "You can't blame them. Who would want to hang out with an Excon." Lily rolled her eyes. "Call yourself that and I will send you right through this window trust me. You are not a f*****g Excon. You were falsely accused and held in prison which even made no sense. I mean you weren't even granted bail. Who does that? You should have sued them you know?" Left to Lily, she was going to sue everyone for everything. If she could sue the neighbor's dog for walking down her lawn, she would.  I hated being reminded of everything. It made me feel super embarrassed.  "I think what's worst is the fact that I have a record now." I said. And it was true. I always had it at the back of my head that I had a record, so I was extremely conscious with what I did. It was constantly a mental reminder. Lily shook her head in disgust "That lousy son of a-  Someone passing by like a mad man horned at us loudly before I could even hear her finish her sentence. She ducked her head out of her window and then pulled out the middle finger to him. She came back to the car. "You haven't changed have you?" I laughed. "In this city you have to be tough and ready for war trust me." She said to me with a wink. "Plus my work place already drives me crazy." We reached Lily's apartment. It was a cute semidetached bungalow. I looked at the house. "No way this is yours."  She smiled at me. "Yes way. What do you take me for? I'm getting better pay now. Plus one of my boyfriends is the realtor and so with a little  wave of my hair I got the place." "You used Lily magic?" I asked her. She winked at me. "I used Lily magic." It was a very pretty and comfortable two bedroom along with an attic which made it three. I loved it immediately. "This interior is better than my whole house." I said matter of fact. "Calm down, you are giving me too much compliments I think I might burst with excitement." Lily said and I shook my head. Once I was settled in, the first thing I did was call back home. "Hiiiiiiiii." Mum said to me. I laughed. "How was the journey? Tell me anything." I laughed. "There isn't really much to tell mum. It's not like it was some sort of road trip or something. It was just basically me being on the plane and then landing." "How is Lily?" She asked.  "She is great, literally still same old Lily, nothing much has changed." I said, then I quickly asked the subject of my worry. "How is Vivian?" "She's great. Was a kittle sad when she woke up without you though." Mum said. I bit back at the pain of letting my child get hurt. But then I tried my best to convince myself that I was just doing this all for her. "Where is she?" I asked. "She went to play and get some ice cream with your brother and sister." Mum said. I felt a pang  in my chest. I had really wanted to talk to her. "Oh don't worry about her. When she gets back, i'm sure she is going to be extremely eager to talk to you." Mum said. I nodded in belief. At least that helped. "And Dad?" I asked. "He went to play tennis with some of his friends." Mum said. "Oh yeah it's Monday." I said absentmindedly. "What is the city like?" Mum asked me. I told her the few I could even though there was nothing really much to it yet. We ended our conversation and I took a quick shower and it was refreshing. It was there I stood thinking about my life and everything.
