I watched Jonah and my friends vanish along with the SPG agents, who took Achilles with them. I was glad they were gone from this horrible place. It would be less than an hour before we were gone as well.
"Everything is packed and ready to go."
The sound of Joey's voice made me jump and I turned to look at him. He was pale. Shaking. I wasn't kidding when I told Spader that we hadn't spoken since before the battle. After what Joey had confessed under Apollo's power, I didn't want to talk to him now.
"Great. The boat will be here in half an hour."
"Joseph can handle the equipment, can't you?"
I jumped again when my father stepped out of the shadows.
He gave me a nod of greeting before he turned to Joey. "Leave us."
Joey said nothing as he went outside to the beach
