A familiar presence appeared beside the bed.
Hypnos.
"What happened?" the God of Sleep asked. "She disappeared from the Dream Realm."
Zagreus looked at him.
"She had another nightmare."
"That's impossible. I made sure that every time she slept, she'd return to the flower fields. To you."
Zagreus smiled despite the situation.
"So that she'd remember me?"
Hypnos proudly shrugged.
"Of course. I'm your number one supporter."
Then his expression darkened.
"But how did a soul reach her and pull her from my realm?"
Zagreus frowned.
"I've never seen anything like this."
"Neither have I."
He looked at Hypnos seriously.
"If your children must guard her dreams, then that's the favor I ask of you."
Hypnos sighed.
"I will, Prince Zagreus."
He bowed his head.
