Zagreus woke once again to the bright sunlight streaming through the window of his room. Moments later, Alec began enthusiastically licking his face.
Zagreus laughed as his dog continued his daily mission of waking him up.
"Alright, alright. I'm getting up now."
He sat up and petted his giant dog, pressing a gentle kiss to the top of Alec's head before standing.
After pulling on a shirt, he stepped out of his room and noticed that Thanatos had already left breakfast on the table.
Picking up the note beside it, he read:
Take Alec out for a walk. He needs sunlight like every other living thing.
Zagreus chuckled and looked down at his dog.
"You want to go for a walk before I visit Lyra?"
Alec immediately started barking excitedly, spinning in circles until Zagreus laughed.
