*Sam* The meeting is a blur of faces and voices, all droning on about policies and procedures that feel as distant as the moon. I sit there, trying to keep my frustration in check as the foreing people debate the finer points of bureaucracy with my lawyer, their words a monotonous hum that blends together into an incomprehensible fog. My heart is heavy with the knowledge that these peaople can stop me from ever finding my son, all they seem to care about are forms and signatures, the lifeblood of their tedious existence. The clock ticks down the minutes, each tick mocking my urgency. I feel like a ghost in the room, unseen and unheard, a desperate plea trapped behind my clenched jaw.
