Guilt

2775 Words
The humiliation from her previous act was eating Ivannah alive. She couldn't believe what she had just done. Her attraction to her Mr Salvatore was petrifying.  And on top of that, she had hardly spent five minutes with the man. He's an attractive man. Something in the back of her mind spoke up making her eyes well up with unshed tears. She couldn't believe she was thinking of such things for the one man she was supposed to look up to as she would her own father. Ivannah sat on her bed fighting a war in her own head while Iris chatted away about anything and everything. Ivannah tried acting interested but the truth was her mind never left her him ever since she saw him yesterday. Ivannah knew that Mr Salvatore had little to no interest in being her dad. He made it very clear with his absence all these years. But then why did he show up now? And why was she so affected by him? Little did Ivannah know that she wasn't the only one who was affected. In a dark room in the far away wing of the mansion, Hades sat with his eyes fixated on her face on the computer screen. The first thing that Hades did as soon as found about the missing girl was have his men put hidden cameras in her room. To the staff, it seemed like their boss was just looking for clues to find the girl and making sure she was safe. But Hades had other plans. He intended on making the girl pay, no-one goes against his orders and gets away with it. If it was one of his men he would have put a bullet through their head but he knew he had to deal with this more calmly. He admitted in his head that this was never his intention. He didn't intend to spy on the kid like a creep but now when he knew that the girl was far from a kid, he couldn't help himself but watch her stunning features in the small screen. A predatory smirk made it's way on his face as he remembered the little show she put just moments ago. The picture of her sprawled on her mattress and pleasuring herself was itched in his mind forever.  He decided that he would definitely have her touch herself again but this time she would be looking him right in the eye as she brings herself closer to release. Waiting for him to allow her a sweet release.  He still felt something akin to guilt in his chest. He couldn't believe he stooped this low as to spy on a innocent girl and take pleasure in it. Even though her previous display proved that she was anything but innocent. But she's a child. Hades felt the start of a headache forming. He realised what he was feeling wasn't right. But what bothered him more was that he was actually cared if he was right or wrong.  Never before had he bothered to think if he was doing the right thing. Whatever he believed, was the right thing for him. But not today. He wanted her but she was only 18. And technically, his ward. Even though he never saw her as one but on papers she was. His desire was burning in his chest. His desire to possess her, to control her. But was he making a mistake? With a growl of frustration, Hades rose from his chair with enough force to make the chair go flying away. He took a deep calming breath through his nose. He looked at Ivannah's face one last time before shutting off the device. Hades turned away from the now dark screen and went to the bar in the corner of the room. He prepared himself a drink before making himself comfortable in one of the bar stools. Hades watched the amber colour liquid in his hand as he heard the ringing of the phone and waited for the person on the other line to pick up. He took a sip of the drink and relished in the feeling of the familiar burn in his throat. "Hello." Hades heard the voice of his friend on the line and gulped down the remaining drink in one go before returning his greeting. "I haven't heard from you in a long time, Hades. How are you?" Raphael's baritone voice asked through the phone. "I think I've found her." Hades said, cutting the unnecessary greeting.  He needed some advice on this and his most trusted friend seemed like the best option. He listened in annoyance as his friend chuckled. "Congratulations, mate." Raphael said. Hades could hear the happiness and jealousy in his voice.  He understood Raphael was happy for him like any good friend but also felt jealous for not finding a girl for himself. "When are you introducing me to the poor girl?" Raphael joked to lighten the air. "You don't understand." Hades groaned in annoyance while fixing himself another drink. "I can't have her." He continued while gripping on his hair. "What do you mean?" Raphael asked in a hard voice, ready to eliminate anything that came between his friend and his happiness. "She is my daughter." Hades said in a monotonous tone even though he couldn't help the bitter taste the word daughter left in his mouth. She's not my daughter. He tried convincing himself. "f**k!" He heard Raphael curse on the line before he heard some shuffling. "Jesus christ, mate. I've had some of people at the club have some pretty sick preferences but I never had i****t before." Raphael said, sounding both sympathetic and revolted. "She is not my own daughter, you f*****g moron. I don't have a child if you have forgotten." Hades hissed through the phone line and tried to think of Ivannah as he tried to calm himself down. "Do you mean that Montgomery girl that you..." Raphael didn't complete the sentence as he already knew the meaning of what his friend was implying. "Yes." Hades said as he got up to walk around the darkened room. "What do you think I should do?" He. knew what was coming. His friend would tell him to keep his distance and not let his desires rule him. He just knew it. "Do you want her?" He heard Raphael ask instead. Did he want her? Every cell in his body screamed yes. He wanted her so badly that he felt like he would die if he didn't see her face again. He couldn't think of her with someone else without his blood boiling in anger. The answer was crystal clear. "Yes, I want her." Hades finally answered, feeling his shoulders slum in defeat. His desire for her was far stronger than he had initially thought. "Then you have your answer." Raphael said before the line went dead. Hades's eyebrows furrowed in confusion as he looked at the blank screen with disbelief in his eyes. Here he was, thinking that his friend would tell him to stay clear and be level-headed instead the man just told him to go for it. Raphael Volkov was a man adored by everyone. His easy going smile and gentle humour made him extremely appealing, not just to the female population but to everyone. He could befriend anyone in this world with his boyish ways. But this shouldn't be mistaken for him being a nice person at all. The man was sick as f**k. His gentle smile fooled the world around him in the daylight whereas by night, he was as sadistic as a person could be. He enjoyed bringing his subs to the brink of oblivion with pleasure only to bring them back with a harsh slap of his whip against their back. He was a Sadistic Dominant, through and through. And he just put Hades in a dilemma that had already kept him awake the whole night. The girl awakened something inside him that he thought had died away. A yearning for a girl that would be completely his for the rest of their lives.  A girl that would adore and love him and in return he would love and spoil her forever. Hades sighed and went back to the chair to look at Ivannah again. Ivannah quickly put on a light pink summer dress before rushing to brush her hair. She was sure that Mr Salvatore must have had his breakfast by now and she couldn't control his hunger for even a second longer. She huffed and put her hair up in a bun instead to save some time. She ran out of her dressing room and started dragging Iris at once. Iris stumbled forward in shock but held onto the door frame to stop herself from falling face first onto the floor. Ivy smiled sheepishly before she started running through the hallway. "The food isn't going anywhere, Ivy." Iris shouted from behind her and she tried to keep up with her friend. By the time they reached the kitchen they both were out of breath. Ivannah clumsily stumbled into the kitchen and gave an innocent smile to Grace. She bent over and held onto her knees like she would pass out any second. "Hopeless kids." They heard Elena saying before they all burst out laughing. Elena just glared at them in annoyance before leaving the kitchen mumbling something under her breath. They just shook their heads and started looking around the kitchen for something to eat. Ivannah smiled as she saw Iris trying to sneak a bacon from the plate only to be shooed away by Grace. She huffed and crossed her arms over her chest. "Ivy, honey" Grace called out softly, making Ivannah come to stand beside her, "Go upstairs and call the boss to the dining room, will you?" Grace said, making Ivannah's blood run cold. "D-do I-I have t-to?" She stuttered feeling fear claw at her throat. She couldn't face him without being reminded of her shameful act from this morning. "Yes, sweetie. Master has specifically instructed that he'll be having all the three meals of the day with you." Grace said, making Ivannah gulp. All three meals. Here he was trying to finally spend time with her and she was acting like a slut, thinking about him in that way. He would never see her as anything but a child.  Maybe a hormonal teenager to the most. How would she ever face him? "B-but can't someone else go to call him?" Ivannah asked timidly, praying that Grace would agree. But all her hope crumbled as she saw Grace shaking her head. "He came here just for you, Ivy. You should make some efforts too." Grace said as she touched the side of Ivannah's face lovingly. "Plus, who wouldn't want to spend time with that hottie?" Iris said signing dreamily. If Ivannah knew anything about Iris she knew her thoughts were anything but holy. "You better not anger me right now, young lady." Grace seethed angrily, "I haven't forgotten yesterday's endeavour." Iris gulped and looked down immediately. Ivannah felt sorry that she put Iris in this situation. Taking a deep breath, Ivannah forced her legs to move as she went to face her doom. There was no way she could face Mr Salvatore without bursting into flames.  She only hoped that she didn't make a complete and utter fool of herself infront of him. Even though her feelings for him were anything but pure, she was still thankful he was making an effort. She didn't need him running away again. She reached the hallway that she only discovered yesterday and looked around at the multiple portraits. Some were really old while some looked more recent in comparison. There was this one particular portrait that caught her eye. She stood infront of the huge family painting and surveyed it curiously. She could make out Mr Salvatore's features standing in the middle behind two people that were seated in chairs.  He looked younger, maybe the age he was when he adopted Ivannah. But his face was grim as if he would be standing anywhere but there. His mouth was set in a firm line and his eyes were haunting. Apart from Mr Salvatore, there were six other faces in the portrait.  All with either a bright smile on their face or a gentle curve of their lips. The man and the woman sitting in the chair seemed important. The way they held themselves with an air of authority reeked power. The woman was absolutely stunning with copper hair held up in a bun. Her eyes were the same colour as Mr Salvatore but unlike his, they held warmth. Her smile was gentle and a dimple was very clear on the right side of her face. She was simply stunning. Ivannah looked at the man in the other chair and noticed the similarities between the two men. They both had similar facial features and hair. But the Senior Mr Salvatore had a small smile on his face.  His eyes lacked the warmth but he still appeared kinder than Mr Salvatore. Even though he was old, he still had this charm to himself that made him appear attractive. Ivannah looked at the girl standing beside Mr Salvatore. Her body was leaning slightly towards him as she grinned brightly at the camera. Her resemblance to the other woman was remarkable.  She looked like a teenage version of her. In the picture, she appeared to be the same age as Ivannah. She was no doubt a beautiful woman by now. There were three other boys in the picture. One appeared to be not more than 9 years old and was seated on the arm rest of the lady's chair. He had light blonde hair and bright green eyes. His boyish face was outstretched in a beautiful smile. One boy appeared to be the same age as the girl in the picture and looked at the camera with a mischievous smile on his face. No doubt, a trouble-maker. His eyes were as bright as the young boys and held warmth just like his mother. The last 'boy' appeared to be almost the same age as Mr Salvatore.  He too was smiling towards the camera and had a playful hand thrown around Mr Salvatore. His dark brown hair was styled just like Mr Salvatore and he too was dressed in a black suit. His dark brown eyes did nothing but made his features appear gentle and welcoming. So this is his family, Ivannah thought. Ivannah's eyes brimmed with tears as she thought about family. Something she didn't get to have. She couldn't understand when she turned into such a crybaby but it seemed like every little thing made her cry this morning.  On hearing a noise in the otherwise empty hallway, Ivannah jumped in fright. She gulped down the fear she felt and walked away from the picture towards the double door leading into his office. She again took a deep calming breath before knocking on the door. She waited a minute before knocking again.  Still, no response. She raised her hand again but stopped mid-air. Maybe he's not in there. Relieved, Ivannah turned to leave just before a devious thought entered her mind. She tried to suppress it but her curiosity got the best of her and she turned the door handle. Ivannah slowly stuck her head inside and looked around. On seeing no sign of him she slowly entered the office and closed the door behind her. The room was the same as yesterday. She slowly stepped towards his table and made sure to look around after each step. Upon reaching his table she noticed how his pens were all arranged by colour in the pen stand. And how all his files were arranged alphabetically too. What a neat freak.  Ivannah tried to open one of his drawers but they were locked shut. She jumped as she heard a noise and scurried to get out of the room before someone saw her. She closed the door behind her softly before she started running towards the kitchen. In her frenzy to get out she ran right into a wall and fell on the floor.  She took laboured breaths as she removed the hair from her face only to come face to face with a pair or Italian shoes. She gulped as her eyes slowly travelled the expense of the huge body and finally landed on the face of Mr Salvatore himself.  Her lips parted and her eyes widened as he smirked down at her. "Hello, Angel."
