I landed on the ground with my butt, eyes on the man that stood before me. I was shocked at the man’s words. His words stopped me from moving. I can’t be his mate, right?
There should be a spark or connection between us, but I felt nothing. Is he mistaken? I can’t be, right? I questioned myself. Am I fated to two mates? Him, my mate, how?
A lot was going through my head, the thought of continuing my mission of leaving this Pack and a strange man appearing out of nowhere and calling me his mate.
