Chapter 25: Christmas

SAMUAL’S POV::
I am at the castle helping my mom finish up everything for Alexis’ family. They will be here in a few hours.
Each room is assigned. There are 9 rooms in total. 4 on each side of the hall, and 1 at the end. Numbered in order from left to right..
Room 1: My mom and dad
Room 2: My grandma
Room 3. My uncle Vincent
Room 4: Alexis’ dad, Lucian and her stepmom, Isabella.
Room 5: Is for Alexis, Dimitri, and myself.
Room 6: is for Alexis’ guards and best friends Gentri and Warin.
Room 7: Alexis’ sister Caitlyn and her mate Maverick.
Room 8: Alexis’ mom Alice and her mate Velkan
Room 9: Dimitri’s dad, Alec.
It honestly works out perfectly. Although I am unsure how Gentri and Warin will like sharing a room, but I also do not care.
In the living room area there is a giant wall of windows, with the walls being dark grey. There is a giant fresh green pine tree sitting in front of the window. They wanted to decorate it but I stopped them. Decorating the tree is something I know Alexis enjoyed doing with her family. So we have a mix of ornaments and a tree topper for when they arrive. The living room has many white couches in the shape of half a circle with the open part facing the tree. We have placed a blanket on the back of each couch. Every other are green and red. We have placed our presents under the tree. There is a fire place located behind the couches on the wall before you head out of the room.
We made sure the fridge was stocked with food that is prepared so no one has to spend hours cooking. Not to mention a small fridge with blood for both Dimitri and Alec.
The dinning room looks beautiful and elegant. We have strung snowflakes all over. There is a tree by the window in here too. The tree is much smaller and I allowed them to decorate this one. We have one long table covered in a white table cloth with green plates. There are red plants on the table as well as gold utensils. The cups are also green glass shaped like a wine glass paired with clear crystal cups.
There are also baked goods everywhere. All types and shaped. I did make sure to request the cookies you decorate because I remembered Alexis loved doing them.
I truly hope this will become a yearly tradition. No one out here celebrates Christmas, so it will be nice to have the tradition for us. We won’t have to worry about them fighting to stay at their own pack to celebrate.. As I look around at the living room, I cannot stop myself from picturing our children here with us…
A soft touch on my should, “sweetheart, it looks breathtaking in here. Let’s head out. They will be here in an hour.” My mom says and smiles.
I nod and look around one last time before leaving.
I cannot wait.
As I get home I am greeted by an extremely excited and anxious Alexis. I hug her tightly in an attempt to calm her down. Her scent welcomes me like a second hug.
“Is everything ready???” She all but yells asking.
I smile and nod.
She screeches and jumps into my arms where she begins to bear hug me while covering my face in kisses.
I hear Dimitri laugh.
After a minute she calms down. Kisses me hard on the lips and jumps down.
She screeches again and runs off.
I just laugh and shake my head.
“Everyone in order for the preparation of her families arrival?” Dimitri asks me.
I nod. “Yes. Everything is finished. My mom just finished helping me set everything up..”
“What is it?” He ask and walks to me.
“I just hope it goes smoothly.. I can see us doing this for years to come.. Along with our children..” I softly explain.
He smiles, “I am sure it will be perfect.. I like that thought.. Our children.”
Alexis the comes running back to us.
“They are almost on their way!!!” She yells with excitement pouring out of her.
She is excited to see all of her family but I know the excitement has to do with Caitlyn. She misses her. They were talking daily and seeing each other at least once a week. However, once Caitlyn started to experience heat their time together has been less and less. She hasn’t seen her sister in almost 2 weeks now and hasn’t talked to her for almost as long.
“Can we meet them over at the castle?” She asks eagerly.
I look at Dimitri.
“I actually was hoping to show Alexis it before everyone gets here.. So we can experience the magic of the surprise with just her? What do you think?” Dimitri asks via mind-link.
“I like that idea.. Let’s go.” I respond.
“How about we go and you can see everything before they arrive?” Dimitri asks.
She gets excited and squeals. “Yesss! Let’s go!!!!”
She quickly grabs both of our hands and practically drags us out of the cottage.
We make it to the castle. Inside the door there are stairs directly across from the door. They ascend to the second floor. They were not here last time she was here. We get to the second floor and walk in. It opens up to a giant living room. To the right is the dinning room and kitchen. To the left are the bedrooms. She walks around in pure awe. I love watching the world in her eyes.
After she explores the entire 2nd floor her family arrive. She runs down the stairs a faster than I have ever seen her move before. She runs directly at Caitlyn and they hug while crying.
I greet the rest of her family. Then I see my family approaching us. I greet them as well. Then notice Dimitri’s dad has arrived. After everyone is greeted we give them a tour of the second floor.
Everyone sees their rooms and leaves their belongings in them.
Night has finally come. They did so much today.
They decorated the tree and let their dad put the topper on.
They decorated cookies.
They watched Christmas movies.
They sang Christmas movies.
My last surprise for Alexis was I had gotten everyone matching Christmas pajamas. When I announced everyone laughed but the two were beyond thrilled.
We crawled into bed and I quickly drifted asleep.
ALEXIS’ POV::
This whole day has been amazing! The best Christmas Eve I have ever experienced in my entire life! I am so excited for Christmas tomorrow. I didn’t think I could see but once I was in bed between my men, I was out quicker than I have ever fallen asleep. I didn’t even tell them goodnight!
It is 5am and I want coffee! I cannot sleep and coffee is calling my name.
I get to the little kitchen and find Caitlyn and my dad in there too!
I laugh.
They look at me and then laugh too.
My dad then pours me a cup.
We chat and catch up for a bit until my guys find me and pull me away.
“I’ll see you after everyone else is awake. We will open presents then!” I whisper loudly to them. They both laugh.
“You cannot just sneak out of bed like that!” Sam pouts. His pouting face is adorable.
“I’m sorry Sammy, I just needed my coffee!” I say with a smile as I peer up at him.
She smiles and kisses my head.
“I’m sorry Dimmy.” I say with puppy dog eyes to Dimitri. When I call him and Sam Sammy they are like putty in my hands, they melt. Similar to how I feel when Dimitri calls me little dove.
“Mhmm.” He replies but is smiling. Once in our room they bear hug me and flop onto our bed. This causes me to go into a fit of laughter. They both kiss my head and I begin to relax.
2 hours later and everyone is awake.
We all gather and pass out gifts. All gathered on the couches we open our presents and express gratitude for everything. Once everyone is done, we guide everyone to the dinning room.
Caitlyn grabs my arm. “Wait. I have something for you. But I didn’t want it to be in front of everyone.” She explains. I nod.
“Take everyone to start Christmas breakfast. Caitlyn has a gift for me that she didn’t want to give in front of everyone.” I explain to Dimitri and Sam. They both look at each other and then me and nod.
Caitlyn has a little gift bag. It’s sparkly green with red tissue paper. She takes my hand and guides me to sit on the floor with her by the lit fireplace.
She hands me the bath and begins warming her hands by the fire.
I open it. Inside there is a card and a box.
“Read the card and then open the box.” She quickly says. She’s facing the fire but looking at me out of the corner of her eyes.
“Merry Christmas Auntie Lex,
I will see you soon!
XOXO Your niece or nephew.
I quickly look at Caitlyn. She still is staring at the fire.
Inside the box. Inside is a gold bracelet with the engraving “Auntie Lex”
I look at her and ask, “are you serious??” My eyes filled with tears with a giant smile on my face.
She turns and looks at me with a giant smile and tears running down her face. She nods quickly.
I hug her tightly.
I am so beyond happy for her. I cannot wait to be the best auntie to this baby that I can be!
