Chapter 26: Happy Birthday

ALEXIS’ POV::
As I am getting ready for my birthday, I cannot help but think of my last 2 birthday.. My 17th when everything changed. What started as a fun day with my girls, to being locked out of my house, to my mom missing. A LOT happened over my 17th year.. Growing closer to Dimitri and Sam. Becoming stronger. Not to mention almost dying multiple times..

Then on my 18th I had a safe transition with Nala fully completing our bond. Then Dimitri and Sam showing up at our pack house.. Unable to wait a moment longer. So many things happened that weekend. Losing my virginity, marking each other, and our worlds uniting. Not just that but the kingdoms actually moved to us! That has NEVER happened before. They aren’t something that can be moved.. After the marking I began to glow.. Nala was glowing. It seemed like an eternity before I was allowed to go outside without worrying. To marrying the two loves of my life, and becoming Queen of a united Kingdom of werewolves and vampires..
I am curious what my 19th year will bring..
I pray it is less chaotic. I just want to live a happy and peaceful life with my men. Eventually growing our family..
However, I cannot quite understand why I haven’t gone into heat yet…
I have been marked and mated shortly after I turned 18.. I turn 19 at midnight.. I had naps earlier. Almost a year earlier.. Shouldn’t that have helped? With Caitlyn it took over a year almost a year and a half before she went through heat.. They believe it has to do with our mom’s spells she had over us protecting us, concealing and suppressing our powers..
I do not know. I just worry. I know both Dimití and Sam want a baby, or babies. However many we get.
Dimitri has also confessed he is worried he won’t be able to get me pregnant. He just isn’t sure it will work. Then Sam admitted to being worried because he was also under the same spells that Caitlyn and I were under… Unsure if he will be able to produce any babies..
A hand resting on my shoulder interrupts my thoughts. I look in the mirror at my mom and match her smile.
“You look beautiful. Are you ready?” She says admiring her daughter.
I nod and stand up. I hug her and then we walk out of my room.. Well the room set up for us at our castle.
I still am curious what they have planned but they won’t tell me!
As we walk into the living room we are greeted by everyone I love.
Slowly one by one everyone hugs me last being Caitlyn. She is showing a little already. Probably because of how skinny she was before. She has a little pudge on her belly. If you didn’t know her you wouldn’t assume anything just that she’s healthy.
“I love you!” I say to her and put my hand on her stomach. “I love you too little one” I whisper as I bend over a little towards her stomach.
She smiles and hugs me again.
That’s when she passes me off to my men. They both hug me and kiss my head.
Dimitri holds my hand up and looks at my dress, “stunning as always” he says softly and kisses my hand causing me to blush.
We enjoy our time together and soon it is almost midnight.
Isabella passes our champagne flutes for everyone except Caitlyn. They have her apple juice instead, which she actually would prefer over champagne even when she isn’t pregnant.
Here goes a new year.
Praying this will be a great year filled with love, happiness, and excitement.
I hope this new year will bring joy into our lives.

Dimitri kisses my hand again and smiles at me.

Sam pulls me tighter to him and kisses the top of my head while breathing in my scent.

Once it hits zero Dimitri’s pulls me to him and kisses me hard and quick. Then Sam pulls me and turns me around and quickly kisses my lips. That’s when Dimitri grabs Sam’s shirt and pulls him to his lips and kisses him hard and quick too.
“I hope this new year of your life brings you everything you desire.” Dimitri whispers in my ear sweetly while we hug.
“19? This will be the best one yet. The castle will be finished over the next few months.. Deadline is April. You are going to be an aunt at some point in the next few months.. Praying the whole year treats you right and makes you happy.” He proudly says with a giant smile.
After a while everyone heads to bed.
I’m laying on Dimitri’s chest with Sam next to us with his arm around me resting his hand on Dimitri’s chest.
Everything is calm.
Everything is peaceful.
Happy 19th birthday to….
My thought interrupted with darkness.
Everything is dark..
Where am I??
I realize I’m sitting on the ground. I slowly get up. Trying to feel anything..
Nothing.
I begin walking slowly and cautiously with my hands extended trying to feel anything.
I begin to have a gut feeling something is wrong.
The hairs on the back of my neck stand up.
That’s when I hear her evil chuckle..
Celestia.
I begin running.
Her laughing gets louder and louder.
I fall, the laughter stops, but when I open my eyes I can see I am strapped down to a chair. In a tiny room.. I cannot move any part of my body.
Then I hear her laughter again and my stomach sinks.
What is she planning????
Why does she want me?
Why is she obsessed with getting me?
I know she is going to kill me.
I start to scream but it is of no use, nothing comes out of my mouth.
…
…
…
I am wake up and am covered in sweat.
I look around and realize it was only a dream.
Thank goodness!
That’s when I become super aware that I am no longer in a room with just Dimitri and Sam…
Every single person from our party in our room staring at me with horror and worry painted across their faces. They are terrified.
I try to sit up so I can let them know everything is fine, but my arms feel like jello.
Sam and Dimitri help me sit up and wont let go over me. Which is great because I am feel like a fully cooked noodle right now.
“What was that???” Gentri was the first to talk.
Now I’m the one confused.. Almost everyone here has seen me have my visions and the seizures..
I look around at everyone’s faces.
No one will make eye contact with me.
“Dim.. Sammy… What happened??” I ask gradually becoming paranoid.
Silence.
“Maybe it would be best if everyone leaves while we talk to Alexis…” Dimitri suggests.
“Absolutely not! I am not leaving this room!” Caitlyn yells. Maverick wraps his hands around her.
“Neither am I.” Maverick supports Caitlyn.
“We are her parents, we are not leaving either.” My mom says and gestures to my dad, Isabella, and Velkan.
“Alexis is our family now Dimitri…” Amara says holding Quentin and Sam’s grandmas hand.
No one is leaving.
Clearly something big happened when I was in that dream.. or nightmare that my vision was made up of.
The door creaks open. Gentri and Warin entered with a pitcher of water, ice packs, and a plate of fruit.
“Thank you guys… Now can someone tell me what is going on?” I asked as Dimitri put one ice pack on the back of my neck. Sam poured a glass of water and put a straw in it and brought it to my mouth so I could drink. I was thankful as I still couldn’t move my arms.
