Chapter 21: All Hail Queen Alexis

THIRD PERSON’S POV:::
As Alexis is getting ready both Samual and Dimitri are a mess. More and more guests are beginning to arrive. Soon the entire place is filled to the brink.
“Sir. It is time to get everyone quiet and begin the ceremony.” Someone says to Samual through mindlink.
Samual and Dimitri look at each other and nod.
As the two begin to welcome and thank everyone for coming, Alexis is getting the finishing touches done.
A knock on the door. Isabella opens it and lets Amara in.
“Oh Alexis honey… You look absolutely breathtaking!” Amara says with tears filling her eyes. She walks over to Alexis and gives her a hug. “I brought you this…” She announces and hands Alexis a bag.
Alexis looks confused, but takes it.
She opens and inside is a beautiful crown.
“It is something I worked with Alec on. It is both of the queens crowns fused together… Creating one for you.. We both wanted to do something special and this also honors his late wife..” She explains with a smile and tears pooling in her eyes.
Alexis stands and hugs Amara tightly.
“Thank you so much. This means more than you know.. Would you mind presenting it to me after the ceremony is complete? If not that is ok. I just felt that would be nice for everyone to see the old queen pass on the crown to the new queen?” Alexis suggests a little unsure of her plan.
“I would love to! Thank you for including me. I appreciate the invitation and the symbolism of this.” She hugs Alexis again. “You look beyond beautiful.”
“Doesn’t she?” Isabella asks.
“I cannot believe my baby is getting married and going to be the queen of two kingdoms.. I am so proud of you sweetheart!” Alice says with tears fighting to flow down her face.
“Mom no crying! We need to go now!” Caitlyn exclaims. “You now look the part. Now stand tall. You have got this. We are all so proud of you and so happy for you! I love you so much Lex!” She adds and then hugs Alexis carefully.
They all leave and Alexis is alone…
ALEXIS’ POV::
As everyone left the room I am left with my thoughts.. I did not mention this to anyone, but I cannot shake the feeling that something is going to go wrong tonight.. I have not been able to sleep deeply as when I do I have terrible visions.. Part is blocked somehow, but the parts I can see are terrifying.. Even without sleep the gut feeling will not go away!
I’ve been reading spell books and practicing my magic a lot more than anyone knows.. I didn’t want to worry anyone or make them feel I am being paranoid.. But I can feel it.. Something really bad is going to happen.. I have also been training a lot to help keep me physically ready as well..
A knock on the door saves me from drowning in my thoughts.
In walks my dad.
One look at me and his eyes are filled with tears.
“Oh Alexis, sweetheart. You look absolutely beautiful.” He just stood there staring at me for a minute before hugging me.
“Thank you dad. I love you.” I respond.
“I love you too. Take one last look at yourself and we have to head out.” He explains.
He walks me to the large mirror on the wall.
I look at myself for the first time since they finished helping me get ready.
My hair is part down part up. The top part is braided and pulled back, the bottom part have loose curls.
My makeup is light but also has some very beautiful spots to make me feel beautiful for work. The top part of the dress is white lace with sleeve that just cover my shoulders. The chest part is a little bit low with gems placed in a specific spots to illuminate the dress. The skirt part flows out from the waist. You cannot even see my boots but I’m happy with them. I have on the diamond earrings Dimitri gave me on my birthday last year when I turned 17. I also have the family heirloom that Amara gave me. It all ties together.
I feel like an actual queen..
“You’re beautiful.. Now let’s go.” My dad announces.
I wrap my arm in his. “Please don’t let me fall.” I beg.
“Not on my life!” He exclaims and winks.
The door opens and I get anxious. Until I saw my men. At that moment I wasn’t scared or worried anymore. I felt like it was just them and me.
We make it to the stage and my dad hugs me and hands me over to my men.
They begin the wedding portion and I try my bed not to cry. We all said our vows we made.
“You may now kiss.. each other?” The person announces.
Dimitri pulls me to him and dips me to the ground and kisses me hard. Everyone cheers.
Then Sam pulls me to him and kisses me hard. Everyone cheers.
Then Sam and Dimitri turn to each other and share a quick yet hard kiss.
They then both grab either hand of mine and everyone cheers.
We then quickly begin the ceremony for me to become queen.
It went so quickly as I was riding on the high I was still up on from the wedding portion.
We finished the ceremony by me professing my loyalty and passion for both kingdoms. How I plan to keep them safe and love them all. After my vow was complete everyone dropped to their knees.
“All hail King Dimitri, King Samual, and Queen Alexis.” Everyone declared while they bowed.
Then everyone got to their feet and cheered.
A few hours later we finally sit down on our thrones.. We have been greeting everyone and dancing a little bit.
That’s when I feel the strong overwhelming feeling in my gut.. Something is NOT right.
Before Sam or Dimitri can ask me what is wrong, everyone on the second floor begin falling to the floor..
What is going on??
That’s when I notice her…
I could never forget that face…
Celestia Mortem…
As she defended the staircase everyone near began falling to the floor.
Are they dead?
The entire place is filled with powerful Alphas and Lunas and powerful people from the covens for vampires and witches. All falling to the ground…
What is she doing to them??
That’s when I noticed a familiar purple flower falling over everyone..
Wolfsbane!!
I quickly project a force field around the three of us.
She gets to us and notices the flowers are not affecting us.
She begins to cackle. “Oh so I see you have gotten stronger since I last saw you..”
“You mean when you left me to die?” I respond hastily.
I could feel Sam and Dimitri tense up.
“Why yes.. I am still unsure of how you survived.. You should have died..” she responds callously.
“What are you doing here Celestia?” I ask trying to hide my anger.
“Well I came here to abduct you and kill you as it fell through last time... But it seems you are stronger than I anticipated…” she shrugs with annoyance in her tone. “Guess I’ll have to be more clever next time.. I’ll make sure you don’t even know I’m coming..” She responds and cackles. Disappearing.
I let go of my hold on the shield and fall to the ground.
“Go get Crystal.. Tell her we need to get rid of all of this wolfsbane ASAP. She’ll know what to do.” And with that everything went black.
