Chapter 13: A few solutions

SAMUAL’S POV:
I wake up and there is a weird sense of worry filling the air. Alexis is asleep in front of me.. It must be Dimitri..
I feel bad there has been so much that has happened in such a little bit of time. Between Alexis being abducted, spells being put one me, Alexis almost dying, not the mention the amount of pressure and power Alexis has especially when she has visions, the craziness around when I became king, and more. Just for Alexis to get mad yesterday and take off without telling us where she was or if she was safe. I was a mess, Dimitri helped both Zeus and I to keep us from going insane. Regardless of his laid back demeanor I knew he was just as worried as I was. I could feel it flowing from him. He is still learning how having a mate, or I should mates, works. Like you cannot hide your emotions from the other(s). We can sense it and something feel it in ourselves. So more or less we were feeding off each others fears.
Although I was glad to see Alexis safe and happy, it WAS a relief off of me.. I still couldn’t help but feel this gnawing feeling inside of me.. We had agreed to punish her. More or less so we could burn off the hurt.. But I can still feel it there. The worry and fear I will one day lose her…
I look over and Dimitri and he is lost in thought.
“What are you thinking about?” I ask him through our mind link.
It is beyond amazing that we now all can mind-link each other. It is an added connection to our growing relationship and connection.
He looks confused and then look at me. As our eyes lock I notice his eyes full of fear and worry..
“I have been replaying todays events and am trying to devise a solution to the problem.” He responds. He sounds defeated..
I think about this for a second before responding.
“Which part of the problem are you referring to? And what solution have you considered?” I ask him with an open mind.
“In all honesty? I have been trying to figure out a solution to everything. At this current moment I am trying to determine the best way to prevent Alexis from feeling neglected and lonely.” He explains.
Hmm.
I have been trying to think of ways to solve multiple things but have not take this part into consideration yet..
I wrap my arms around Alexis and lay one hand on Dimitri’s chest next to Alexis’ head.
“What if we allow Alexis to come with one of us each day.. Well until our castle is completed. She could come with me for a day to my castle and then the next day with you to your castle? I know she cannot sit in on any big meetings yet, not until next weekend. BUT she cold still come with. I know my family had been begging me to bring her and you around more. A few of the staff really love her too… I mean what is not to love? I also think that we should try to go to her sisters pack to at least once a month. Once the castle is built they can all
come to us or we could alternate.. I also think once a week Alexis and Caitlyn should be allowed to go to lunch or get their nails done or just hang out for a few hours.. She’s always been really close with her sister. I think going into hiding really affected her in more than one way.” I throw all of my thoughts and ideas about this solution out there.
It was quiet for a moment. I then felt a cold hand rest against mine. This sent a sense of pleasure and happiness through me. I could almost feel Zeus in there wagging his tail! He really loves both of his mates.
“I really that idea. My dad has been missing her as well as a few of the warriors… I try to not allow my jealousy to overcome me when they ask about her and go on and on about her.. I like that. We will discuss this with her later..” he pauses. “I also greatly admire how deeply you wish to create a happy life for our girl.. Maybe once the castle is finished we could propose an entire family dinner for ALL family once a month? This would include your parents, grandma, and uncle as well as my father.. Your thoughts?” He adds and pauses in wait of my response.
“Yes. I really like this idea. This fills my head with a beautiful and happy future..” I respond with a big smile on my face.
“As does mine.. Although Alexis has never mentioned children yet, I can imagine our children playing with their cousins. The sounds of their footsteps…” Dimitri may be as tough as they come but he is a hopeless romantic and beyond sweet. He was explaining his dreams when he is interrupted.
“What time is it??” A very sleepy Alexis asks.
I chuckle. I look at the clock. “It’s 3am” I say and kiss her shoulder.
Silence.
She nods and then is back asleep.
I chuckle softly to myself.
“Speaking of proposing…” Dimitri begins but Alexis jumps out of bed and bolts to the bathroom.
Dimitri and I just look at each other and begin laughing.
“What a goofy girl we have.” I state.
“Indeed we do.” Dimitri agrees with a smirk.
Alexis begins to climb back in between us. “I am not goofy! I had to pee, BAD!”
I just start laughing and pull her to my chest inhaling her sweet scent.
“And you say I’m the goofy one!” She says as she playfully nudges me.
“Come again?” I ask her.
“Smelling my hair like it’s a drug! You’re just as goofy if not more!” She explains.
“Oh quiet the contrary my sweet little dove.” Dimitri starts as he moves the hair off of Alexis’ face. “Your scent IS a drug and a very dangerous one.” He adds with a wink.
She blushes and begins giggling.
He is not wrong. She is like a drug. Not just her scent but just her alone. When she’s not around I want her to be. When she is with me it’s like I cannot get enough.
“What are you two doing awake right now anyways? It’s so early.” She asks intrigued.
“Oh. One would have to actually sleep in order to be considered early. It is late for me… We have been discussing solutions.” He states and she sits up and turns so she is facing both of us.
“WHAT solutions????” she asks extremely perplexed.
“We wish to find and create ways in which we can create a world where you can feel included and surrounded by love.” I answer.
Her face is filled with confusion but her eyes are shining bright with hope and love.
“Go on…” she exclaims excitedly.
Dimitri smirks. “We have come up with a few possibilities.. What if every day you came with one of us? Meaning you would come with to the castle for the day until whichever King is done for the day? Then you will accompany them back home. The next day going with the other king? This gives you full freedom each day. Including but not limited to our families and friends..” Dimitri proposes the first solution.
It is quiet as she processes this.
“I like this idea. This way I’m not stuck here feeling like a prisoner. I can visit your families and also can communicate with others.” She says with a big smile on her face.
“Good because my family has been begging to see you more.” I add.
She lights up at this. “Ok what else?? You said solutions?? Did you not???” She pries.
Dimitri and I laugh at this.
I nod. “Yes. We were thinking that at least once a month we can go to your sisters pack for supper if they agree on this. HOWEVER, after our castle is built we would prefer to host it, AND include our families.” I throw out this for her to think about.
“OH MY GOSH! How did I get do lucky as to have TWO caring and loving and considerate men?” She raves.
“I gather you are agreeing to this?” Dimitri asks with a smile.
She nods. “YESS! Thank you for these suggestions!”
“There’s an other. What if once a week you and your sister can get a few hours together? Get lunch. Get your nails done.. Whatever you want for a few hours?” I ask.
She starts crying.
We both move closer to her and grab a hand.
“I’m not sad. I’m so grateful that I was blessed with two very considerate and loving mates.” She explains and wipes her tears away.
