Chapter 16: Surprise

ALEXIS’ POV::

It’s been a few hours and Caitlyn and I have had so much fun. We have talked about everything and more.

Between our relationships:

“So what’s it like being with two guys?!!” She pried with wide eyes followed by laughter when I could feel myself blushing.

“Have you had them both at the same time?? I’ve heard of people doing that..” she started and I cut her off.

“Ok that’s enough.” I laughed while shaking my head. “Let’s talk about something other than my s*x life..” I paused. “OR yours!” I added quickly. Causing us both to laugh hard.

We talked about her hardship with getting pregnant. I just comforted her and reassured her it will happen! We cried together.

We talked about the stress she has been having with being the Luna but also how much she loves it. How easy it is to be the Luna when she has Maverick as her Alpha.

We talked about all of my worries with becoming queen and my feeling of being unfit. How worried I am of messing up tomorrow.

We then decided with full bellies that we wanted to let our wolves out. They are sisters too and they haven’t been able to play since my transformation. The garden is secluded enough it should be safe. Plus the hue on her fur has faded to where it is really only noticeable at night.

Within seconds Nala and I have traded places. She has been itchy to stretch her legs and run around. She wants to play with her sister. I have arranged a few times for her and Zeus to be able to have space in the arena at Sam’s castle. But it’s been very risky every time.

Soon I see my sister has been replaced by a blonde haired wolf.

Soon we begin playing. Alternating between tag, hide and seek, just having fun, and then hunting.

After a while we decide to switch back so we can head back to the pack house. Both Nala and Lilly had so much fun playing together and they even, with a lot of disgust from both Caitlyn and I, hunted together. They both caught small rabbits as that really is the only animal that can get into this garden.

We walked onto the deck at the pack house and noticed our parents and their mates are all sitting there.

“What’s going on?” I ask a little worried.

My mom walks over to me and hugs me. “Oh nothing sweetheart. We just knew you were here and wanted to see you before your big day tomorrow.” She pauses and puts her hands on both of my shoulders, staring me directly into my eyes. “Everything will go smoothly tomorrow. You will do great. Not to mention you will make an amazing queen… I am beyond proud of you.” She explains confidently and gives me an other hug. I have tears in my eyes. I have been so worried but her words have given me a little bit of a boost in confidence.

My dad walks over and gives me a hug. “We will all be there in support for you. We are all so proud of you and know you will be a tremendous inspiration as queen… You already have inspired me so much n the past year of knowing you. You are so strong and so brave. Not to mention smart. You are so loved by everyone you will be amazing.” He hugged me.

Isabella and Velkan hugged me and said kind words as well but I was on an other level with my parents words replaying in my head.

Maybe I can do this?

“No shit.” Nala states sarcastically in my head.

“Shut up.” I said back to her.

“Selene would not have put you into this role if she did not believed in you… And if the moon goddess believes in you, you best believe your ass that you ARE ready and you ARE meant to be queen. Plain and simple. You just worry too much. You do not see your own potential.. It’s a good thing you have a lot of people who do!” She exclaims.

I feel a burst of pride exploding in me.

“Honey, before you leave Rita had asked me to give you this.” Isabella says as she hands me a basket full of goodies and a bag full of something that smells delicious!

“Awe she did not have to do this! Please give her a hug for me and tell her how much I appreciate it?” I ask.

“She knows honey. Believe me, she knows. But we will tell her. Ok?” Isabella asks.

I nod.

“Are you heading home now?” Asks Caitlyn.

I look at my watch. It’s almost 5pm somehow.

I nod. “Yeah. It’s getting late and I promised them I’d be back around this time….” I pause and look at them all. “Thank you all for your support and love.. I couldn’t have made it this far without any of you. I pray I make a good queen and can live up to the expectations that are set of me.. Please cross your fingers that tomorrow will go smoothly for me?? I love you all.” I gave them all a quick hug. Then I created a portal and went home…

It’s dark??

Why can I not see anything???

I begin feeling around and trying to figure out where in the cottage I am so I can turn the lights on.. And why is it so dark if it’s only 5? This is creepy.

Wait.

I can use my magic to turn the lights on.

The lights turn on and reveal a room filled with flowers. Not only flowers in vases around the room, but flower petals on the floor…

I quickly set down the two things of food.

What do these two have planned??

“Someone is about to nastyyyy!” Nala exclaims while teasing me.

I decide to follow the flowers. They led to the door that Crystal installed for us to go outside where no one else can see us…

I open it and see candles and flowers everywhere.. This is like something out of one of those movies Caitlyn loves..

What is going on?

That’s when I reach this little area where the petals stop.

I look around and I do not see anyone. What is going on??

That’s when I hear Sam clear his throat from behind me.

I turn around and see both Sam and Dimitri on their knees next to each other…

What?????

I stand here in shock and thoroughly confused..

“My sweet little dove... I know perhaps this may seem a little.. out of order? Or maybe even a bit unorthodox.. But this is just something I had to do for you.. I have heard that every girl has dreamt of their wedding day.. I for one, did not want to deprive you of this..” Dimitri pauses. I wipe the tears from my eyes.

“Lex. We have discussed this. Although we already have marked and mated and are having a ceremony tomorrow.. We would like to make sure this dream you may have you had come true.. No matter if no one else understands as this is a human tradition, you deserve everything.. And we plan to give you everything..” Sam adds.

“Alexis.. From the moment I came upon you, I knew you were the one for me. I could feel an undeniable connection with you. I knew in that very moment that we were deeply intertwined..” he pauses.

“Alexis. Even as kids I had always felt close to you.. As we grew older I felt a connection even stronger.. I knew you were the one for me by the age of 6.. I knew without a doubt by the time we turned 13… You have always been in my life, and I hope there will never be a day I have to live without you..” Sam says and pauses.

At this point I can feel tears pouring down my face.

Dimitri pulls something from his pocket.. A little black box.. “Alexis Shaw, will you marry me?” He asks as he opens the box to reveal a beautiful ring.

“Alexis Shaw, will you marry me?” Sam asks as he pulls out a similar box and opens it up.

I cannot bring myself to words as I cannot stop crying so I just begin nodding my head excitedly.
