Chapter 32: Heat Phase 1

ALEXIS’ POV::

In the darkness I am alone. I am extremely confused on what is going on.

What is happening?

She said I would be waking up soon.. But I’m not?

Was this one of the unclear paths?

That is when I begin to feel a burning sensation.

Is the area I am in getting hot?

I begin to walk blindly thinking I could escape this terrible feeling..

Nope.

It just gets worse!

I am running trying to get any form of relief.

I eventually collapse to the ground and curl up in a ball.

I lay there crying.

But then there is a light.

“Well will do all we can to help you through this. Zeus said your first heat is typically the hardest and longest. And with your power it could be longer than the typical one.. “ Sam says as he comes into the bathroom.

“We will do anything we can to help you my love. We will get through this together. How about you get some food? You haven’t ate since your birthday.” Dimitri suggests.

I nod as I dry my hands. “How long was I out anyways? What day is it?” I ask curious.

They look at each other as they guide me to the kitchen.

“What is it?” I ask as they sit me down at the kitchen table.

“You were out for 3 weeks..” Sam starts.

I stand up accidentally flipping the table over in my rush.

“THREE WEEKS?!!?” I yell. “WHAT THE f**k? I was out for three weeks??? Is Crystal ok? Is Caitlyn and baby ok? OMG! What all did I miss??? f**k!”

I begin shaking with anger.

Three weeks??

“Crystal is ok. Your sister is on bedrest making her irritable but her and baby are ok. You did not miss anything.” Sam calmly explains.

I feel a little relief knowing that all 3 of them are ok.

“Bedrest?” I ask worriedly.

They nod.

They then lead me back to the table that is fixed and set now with food.

“Yes the entire incident caused stress on Caitlyn. So she is in bedrest until she has the baby. However, she is ok. She is just as Samual stated… Irritable. Bossier than ever might I say.” Dimitri explains causing me to chuckle.

I calmed down and we chatted a little and ate.

That’s when the heat and pain began again.

Without missing a beat Sam picks me up and brings me to our bed. He climbs on top. I instinctively throw my arms and legs around him and pull his lips to mine.
