Nation Like No Other

With King Thranter of the Kingdom of Frugr now dead, Dromer immediately started a broadcast:

"Attention people of the Kingdom of Frugr, I am Dorian. Your king, Thranter, has been killed and your army has been demolished by my hands. Your country will now fall under my rule and become a part of my own country, known as the Lerna Sovereignty!

With this broadcast, I'd like to inform you that I will NOT be a dictator. I will NOT be a monarch. I am not your King, but I am the ruler of this country. Call me whatever you see fit. I do not mind. Now... First things first, I'd like to remake some of the laws.

1. All slavery is outlawed. Release all slaves, no matter what race. Give them money to be able to support themselves for a week. Those, who are looking for employees, employ the released salves.

2. Nobility is non-existent. But, I will arrest all former nobility members except for the women and children, because they won't survive the harsh life in the dungeon.

3. Discrimination against any race is also outlawed. If the city guard hears anyone degrading any race for their particular traits, they are free to arrest you.

4. Stealing, murder, kidnapping are still outlawed. But this time, the punishments are crueller than before.

Also, I'd like to say that Ytrea won't be the capital city. The capital city is Gyera. While it is true, that, by population, Ytrea is bigger than Gyera, it is not bigger than the land it takes up.

Also, for a week, there will be soldiers at the palace of Ytrea giving out small chests with money to anyone who desires it. The money is from the former nobles. The taxes are also lowered from three silver coins to five copper coins. This country will NOT drain you of money. We shall gain capital by exporting goods to other nations, thus, making our nation not dependent on its subjects, but its goods grown on farmland. With that, I'd like to end this broadcast. Long live the Sovereignty!"

The news of the Lerna Sovereignty and its new laws spread quickly across the globe. The leaders of other countries saw the Sovereignty as a weak nation and its ruler as a fool, but they did not dare to attack it, for they knew of the feats of 'Dorian'.

'So... The adventurer from back then founded a country, destroyed the Kingdom, with which we've been at war for ten years and now has made its people all be of the same rank. I will have to be very careful to not make an enemy out of him... He is a very cunning and powerful man...'
