Note on my new Georgian Romance series

WELCOME TO MY NEW SERIES!

Wicked Wager is the first in a collection of novels laced with romance and intrigue, set during the Georgian period in the late 1700s.

Full of secrets and intrigue with a nod to an old favourite — Dangerous Liaisons by Choderlos de Laclos, first published in 1782 — Wicked Wager pits virtue and innocence against the cruel and wicked parlour games played by a couple of bored and dissolute aristocrats.

I was captivated by the 1988 period romance movie, Dangerous Liaisons, starring Glenn Close, John Malkovich and Michelle Pfeiffer, however, in my book, Wicked Wager, the motivations on the part of the handsome libertine and ruthless society beauty, who plot to ruin my innocent heroine, are very different.

And as it’s a romance - laced with mystery and intrigue - it has a happy ending. (I do love a redeemed rake!)

ALSO, COMING UP IN MY GEORGIAN ROMANCE series is a post-French Revolution romance, set in a London ballroom, called Her Valentine’s Secret.
