THE RETURN TO THE PALACE The villagers, led by Lord Ryujin's soldiers, carried Akane's body back to the palace. The streets were lined with mourners, all of whom had come to pay their respects to the fallen warrior princess. As they approached the palace, the villagers could see the shock and grief etched on the faces of the palace staff. They had loved Akane, and her loss was a devastating blow. The soldiers carried Akane's body to the throne room, where it was laid out on a ceremonial bier. The villagers gathered around, paying their respects and saying their final gratitude. The burial ceremony was held the next day, with the entire village in attendance. Akane's body was carried to the top of a hill overlooking the village, where a magnificent tomb had been built in her honor. The tomb was adorned with intricate carvings and statues, all of which depicted Akane's bravery and strength. The villagers gathered around the tomb, listening as the village elder delivered a eulogy. "Akane was more than just a warrior princess," the elder said. "She was a hero, a symbol of hope and courage in a time of darkness. She will never be forgotten." As the elder finished speaking, the villagers began to file past the tomb, leaving offerings and paying their respects. Akane's legacy would live on, inspiring future generations to stand up for what is right.
