Chapter 6: Found ya!

Come on we gotta go like now." As I grabbed Mason's hand. "Hurry! There going to be here any second! I started to panic and have a panic attack, Mason was trying to calm me down.

"It's ok, hey relax, we're not going to get caught it's all going to be ok."

I took deep breaths as I tried to calm down.

Hours before....

I woke up to the smell of breakfast. He always knew how to wake me up. I skipped downstairs to see bacon, eggs, French toast and pancakes. "Mmm, smells good. I missed your cooking." He looked back at me and smiled. I embraced him with a hug then he said,"I bet you did, and I made your favorite!" He grinned.

"Uh oh, what do you want?" I asked knowing he wants something.

"What? I can't just make you some food because I want too? We haven't seen each other for years and that's how you treat me?" He scoffed. "Wow."

"No, you definitely want something, but hey I'm thankful for the delicious food that you made. Your also right, it's been years, we should totally hang, like old times." I told him happily as I looked at the food.

"Ugh, fine you got me." He said slumping down on the chair.

"There it is." I said pointing and sighing.

"Well, I'll tell you later k? I gotta go shopping, it's been awhile since I been around this town. I definitely need to buy some new s**t, Mk byeee." He said as he was picking up his keys and leaving.

Closing the door on his way out, I started eating the food he made and soon finished it. I washed it down with some orange juice and washed the dishes. After I finished washing the dishes, I made my way to the living room and slumped on the couch, passing time using my phone.

I received a text and thought it was my best friend, asking where I was all this time, but no, it wasn't her, in fact, it was someone who I wished wouldn't have texted me at all. My heartbeat began to pick up the pace as I read the text.

"I know where you are. You can't hide for long." -Unknown

"Can't wait to have you by me again." -Unknown

"He's creepy as fuck." I said to myself

"Who's creepy as f**k?"

"AHHH, MASON! You scared the s**t out of me! What the hell!" I said holding my heart, trying to catch my breathe again as he was laughing his ass off.

"It's not funny." I said trying to calm my breathing back to normal. Slapping him on the shoulder, throwing a couch pillow at him. He of course was still practically on the floor laughing.

"Yo-you should of s-seen the l-ook on your faacee." He said still laughing barely being able to breathe. "Girl you made me have to pee now." He finished off with a jog to the bathroom.

"I can't believe I use to have a thing for him. Before he came out." I said rolling my eyes, getting up from the couch and walking to my room going under my covers, getting comfortable.

"Getting comfortable so soon?" I heard a random voice say. I quickly got up and there he was pointing a gun at me. My eyes grew wide. "Wait, wait come on, let's talk about this. Please! I don't wanna die!"

I said starting to cry, "Oh, you should of thought about that before. You know, before YOU f****d ME OVER!!! This time I'm not giving you any more chances. No, no, you ran out of chances a long time ago and you need to disappear, now." My heartbeat was racing out of my chest so much you could hear it. Well if this is how I go, then this is it.

Closing my eyes, waiting for him to pull the trigger I heard nothing.

Few minutes go by.

........

Still nothing

.....

Then, I felt like everything happened in slow motion and that's when I heard it. "BANG." But it wasn't me who died, I was very much alive. I opened my eyes and that's when I saw it, Mason, he was on the floor covered in blood. He was dead and he took a bullet for me, I wasn't dead physically but I definitely died on the inside. He took my life with him, then I went numb. My childhood best friend that I've known since diapers, was dead.

"Oh, my god!! Mason!!" I cried hideously and loudly. The man just looked at me then pointed the gun at me. "That was suppose to be for you, that's alright though, I won't miss this time." I was too busy crying to even worry about what was going on. I was done with life since I already lost it when Mason died a minute ago.

"You just killed my childhood best friend." I said the obvious. He just shrugged like "Ok and why should I care?" kind of way. "No, maybe you didn't hear me. YOU JUST f*****g KILLED MY CHILDHOOD BEST FRIEND! YOUR A PHYSCO AND A MANIAC!! WHAT DID I EVEN DO TO YOU?" I said still crying. "I don't care about any of this, just sho-" before I could finish the window broke and I heard a "HURRY. RUN." It was Axel!

"Baby girl, I know he just killed your childhood friend but you need to run. Hey you hear me? RUN." Axel said trying to get me back to reality, he then kicked the gun out of his hand when he was distracted and got into a fight with him to spare me some time. I quickly came back to my senses and began to run like I never ran before.

"Thank you so much for joining us, Axel!"

"No problem. Anything to help out."

"So tell me, what was your first opinion when you first saw Devyn?"

"My first opinion, when I first saw her was like. What does this crazy chick got running around in her head. She was always up to something and she never stays out of trouble." He looked at me with a smile on his face and laughed a little. "She always has something to say to someone and doesn't know how to close her mouth, she's too, open I guess. Which isn't always a bad thing."

"Right, right and Devyn, what do you have to say about that."

"He's not wrong." I began laughing. "I'm just very talkative and I grew up with parents who weren't always around, so for me it's kinda hard to do certain things. Like, without a parental guidance, I had to teach myself most things and learn to care for myself at a young age."

"I hear you. On the bright side, I heard you laughing a minute ago. At least we know your not completely gone yet, and your still here with us." My therapist smiled as she was proud of me.
