Chapter X
AS THE FIRST RAYS OF light flared over the mountain top, the blurry forgetfulness of the night dissipated. The chilly breeze sent goosebumps over my skin and I shivered. Seth grunted something and pulled me closer, his body heat making me feel safe. We were both still naked, him sprawled on the dewy grass, me resting half on the ground, half on top of him. My body felt heavy and light at the same time. As if the exhaustion of the past days had reached me, while Seth’s presence had shattered the heavy weight Anthony’s death had left within my soul.
