Chapter Four ADAM rang the doorbell of the white two-story home. They stood on the concrete porch and waited for Janet Tate to answer. “What did she tell you when she called?” Cheryl asked. Janet had called Adam earlier that morning, her voice tinged with panic. Adam shrugged. “Not much of anything. She said something strange happened in the bathroom, and she was a bit freaked out. She didn’t go into details, though. I told her we’d come and check the cameras to see what they recorded.” He rapped on the door again. “Did you notice anything when you were in the bathroom?” Cheryl asked.
