Chapter Twelve
JANET got a sparkle in her eye. “Frank is funny and vibrant and always willing to try something new. That’s why I fell in love with him. He helped me step out of my comfort zone and look at life in a whole new way. Five years ago, we went skydiving.” She chuckled. “Can you believe that? Me… skydiving?” She shook her head, and a smile spread across her face. “He could talk me into anything.”
“You’re braver than me,” Cheryl said.
“Not really. I was terrified, but Frank…” She looked at a spot across the room. Then she eased herself up off the sofa and walked over to the bookshelf on the other side of the room. Picking up a picture of her and Frank together, she said, “We went to the Grand Canyon last year. I’d never been before. Have you?”
Cheryl shook her head.
