Neil to the RescueAnticipating the alarm clock going off, William quickly jumped out of bed early the next morning, aware that he would have to look lively if he was going to get everything done before Neil turned up. He had a thousand things to do if he was going to be ready in time.
As he sipped his cup of tea and ate a hasty sandwich, he went over all the unfinished business left over from the previous day, and at the top of the list was chewing gum.
Much to his surprise, there were no panics at the village shop that normally occurred on a Friday morning. As it was pay day for the locals, most of them went in for a big shop at one of the supermarkets in the town.
