Celine froze in surprise at the unexpected question. "Why would you ask me such questions?" she managed, her voice shaky. Lucas remained silent, his eyes narrowing as he repeated, "Do you like Alex?" Her irritation flared. "Of course, I like Alex." She crossed her arms, glaring at Lucas, wondering why he was pressing her like that. Alex had always been there for her, a dependable friend. She didn’t notice Lucas’s expression darkening, a petty look creeping onto his face. "Then it's better if you don't mention what happened between us in my car to him," he said, his teeth clenched. A small smile played on Celine's lips. "Why would I tell Alex something so private?" she thought, but she kept silent. "Leave my office now," Lucas barked, his voice strained with barely contained emotion.
