Frederic Howard got out of the car and carried Melissa Ernest into the elevator, heading towards Rudolf Milton's ward.
Upon reaching the door of the ward, Melissa Ernest felt embarrassed about being carried by Frederic Howard and asked him to put her down.
"Are you sure you can manage?" Frederic Howard asked, his brows furrowed, in a gentle tone.
"Mm-hmm, it would be too awkward if they saw you carrying me like this," Melissa Ernest nodded.
Frederic Howard gave her a look before setting her down, steadying her as she stood. Just as he was about to knock, Melissa Ernest impulsively pushed the door open and walked in.
