"I'll head back to work now. Get some rest, and if you need anything, just press the call button," Dr. Zhang said as she stood up and walked towards the door, nodding at Frederic Howard on her way out.
Frederic Howard gave her a grateful look. "Thank you, Dr. Zhang." In truth, he had returned a while ago and overheard Dr. Zhang's conversation with Melissa Ernest, so he waited outside the door.
"It's my duty. Go take care of her," Dr. Zhang replied, stepping out and closing the door behind her.
"Melissa, have some porridge. Later, I'll ask Aunt to make some of your favorite dishes for you," Frederic Howard said carefully, bringing the bowl closer to her, fearing she might be resistant.
