The house was quiet. Whether it was because it was empty or people were asleep, she had no idea. She also had no clue how long she had been in the bathroom. She felt a little guilty as she opened the door and stepped out. The difference in temperature made she shiver immediately; she wrapped her arms around herself and looked along the hallway for any sign of life.
When she had woken up in the water disoriented, the water had been cold. Considering it had been steaming hot when she had climbed into the tub, she could only assume hours had passed. She had quickly refilled the tub with hot water and finally taken her bath before stepping out into the cold quiet hallway.
