Kelly’s eyes snapped open, suddenly jolted awake by the words as the pierced the silence of the room. She had just started dozing off into a peaceful sleep with a rather pleasant someone on her mind. For a second, she wasn’t sure if she had actually heard the someone talk or imagined it.
She kept quiet and waited. Well, it was easy to determine, if she had imagined it, the room would remain silent and she would soon fall asleep and continue her private happy thoughts. If not, Samantha would say something else and Kelly would be forced to respond. She was sure it was Samantha who had spoken, there was no one else in the room with them.
