The trio turned around to the voice that called out to them, liam looked away, he paid no attention them;
"Carla Èllo?" Jake asked
"Yes, it's me dummy."
"Oh my goodness, you look so...pretty." leah said, with a surprised look.
"Thank you." The young lady looked at Liam, he wasn't even paying attention to her, so she stepped in front of him.
"Excuse you?" liam said
"Liam Hilton, how are you?" she hugged him before he could react. "Carla Èllo?"
He stared at her from top to bottom and to the top again, "Carla? How?"
"Years of work, i'm no longer the school's most chubby girl, am i?"
"You definitely are not, you look good."
"Just good?"
"Better than good."
She looked at the direction he was looking at, "I see you still have a crush on victoria craven, she looks... .good." she said. Leah made a disgusted face, while liam frowned, she turned back to him and smiled. "I'll run along now, see you guys around."
They all stared at her as she walked away, not just the three of them, all the guys at the park were gushing over her. She was solvang high most chubby student and she was mocked everyday for it, but now she was definitely going to be solvang most sexy. Liam turned to check on victoria but she was no longer in sight, he moved to go find her;
"You will let her be" Leah stopped him.
"And why should i listen to you?"
"Because you don't want me to tell her, do you?"
"Tell her what?" Jake chipped in.
"None of your business." both leah and liam replied.
"Okay, okay, fine." Jake said with his free hand and the other holding a beer both up in the air.
It's been three days since after the party at the park, victoria hadn't seen or heard from liam, not that she would've, they didn't have each other's cell number. Charles Walton checked on her twice ever since they met at the party, they were supposed to go on a date that evening. The doorbell rang and she hurried to get it, she was taken aback by the person at the door, there he was in a Tshirt that had the three first button open, she could see his chest, he also wore jean with running shoes.
"Good morning Tori, how was your night?" he said, his voice rocked her stomach. She never understood why he had this effect on her ever since he was dared to kiss her at their last game night together.
"Good morning Liam, what are you doing here?"
"Mr fletcher asked that i come get you, he found a space for us."
"Us?"
"Yes, us."
"He would have called, i would have...."
"He insisted i come get you on my way to him." Victoria sighed, she could remember the last time she sat with him in his truck, did he still drive that? she wondered.
"Give me a minute." she said as she went in to pick her handbag, she returned and went out with him. Her steps slowed when she set eyes on his black truck parked right in front of the house;
"You still drive this?" She asked before she could stop herself.
"Yes of course, it has fun memories and sentimental attachments." he smirked at her.
She knew what he was talking about, she swallowed and regretted why she asked in the first place. They got in and liam drove away, when he past by victoria's house, she said;
"Stop." he halted. She stared at the house for a long time, she sniffed to hold back the tears, liam held her hand and said;
"Mr fletcher will find the buyers."
Victoria turned to look at him in shock, "How did you know?"
"Mr fletcher told me."
"Shit." she cursed and pulled her hand away, liam chuckled softly, even when his tori seemed to be a bit crankier with him ever since she returned, he never got upset with her.
He said as he started the truck, "You really don't have to be like that with me tori, we're friends remember?"
"Are we?"
"Sorry?."
"Nothing." Victoria said, her grey eyes focused on the road.
"Did i do something wrong? You've been avoiding me and acting weird towards me."
"It's nothing, I'm still adjusting."
"Not with me tori, you're upset with me about something, I could tell, please tell me. Tori?"
"Stop calling me that!" she yelled, liam halted immediately and he placed his hand on her chest to prevent her from slamming her face on the dashboard. Then he slowly turned his head to stare at her, victoria took a deep breath to calm herself; "I'm sorry, i didn't mean to yell." she closed her eyes, he didn't know how much calling her name affected her.
"Tell me, what's wrong? why are you cold towards me?"
"It's...i..it's nothing really. I just want the house back, i feel i would lose it forever, and the thought is killing me." Liam sighed, he knew she wouldn't say a word if she wasn't ready to, that has always been victoria, she stalls when she's hiding something and jumps the topic when she doesn't want to talk about it. "You'll get the house back, just be a little more patient." he said and she nodded.
Liam started the truck again and he was back on the road, they arrived at valley market by main street. Mr fletcher smiled and waved at them as they alighted from the truck, he motioned for them to hurry up. They approached him and saw a wide empty warehouse almost too big for either of them.
"What do you think? It's spacious, affordable and it's at a very attractive location."
"But mr fletcher, this is too much for either one of us." Victoria said
"It's for both of you, you can split and set up your space, this is what i could quickly find."
"We'll take it."
