Maximo's Point of View
It wasn't until I opened my eyes that I realized I was lying on a beach alongside the water, fully unconscious of my surroundings. My immediate reaction was to sit down and gaze down to find Chrisanto and our other companions lying still on the sand.
Right away, I pushed myself to my feet and marched up to them. When they fell asleep, I jolted them awake with a shoulder shake. As soon as they awoke, they jumped to their feet and began to run.
"Can you tell me where we are right now?" I queried, my interest peaked by the prospect of finding out.
We looked around and realized that we were on an island, so we shook our heads and shrugged our shoulders at the circumstance. The fact that the boat we had used earlier had not been destroyed was another surprise for us.
