Chapter 4Once the photograph was over, Lord Oaklight retired once more to his room and in the following days, no longer appeared at mealtimes. Lady Flora, I gathered, spent most of her time making arrangements for the funeral, in which I was not involved. Alice and Ada I barely saw but they rarely seemed to venture from the house.
