Valentina's POV I pushed the key into the penthouse door the next morning with my hand steady even though my chest felt tight, because I only came to collect a few things; clothes, the small plant, nothing more. The living room was dark with the curtains still closed and a glass lying on the floor near the couch, whiskey dried into the carpet underneath it.
