I’m not sure why I picked the Grand Canyon, of all places, to meet Kenton. According to regulars, visiting such geographical wonders has become much more exciting since the ability to teleport manifested; rather than having to appreciate it from afar, you can blink right into its depths and look up at the vast, rocky tundras around you.
Mostly, though, I think I just wanted a wide-open place where no prying eyes could hear us—and where I could easily hide his body, if I needed to.
