Nell’s POV   I’ve known Luke Morrison, the Academy’s headmaster, for a long time. Not as long as Milo, the Senses, or even Kenton Crowley, of course, but six years is still a lot. I’ve never liked the guy. Milo thinks I do, no matter how much I try to deny it. He’s not overly jealous, which is good—he trusts me as much as I trust him, I think—but he does think that Luke holds some sort of fascination or interest with me, the way Kenton once did, which is just flat-out untrue. At least Kenton, despite having lied to me about Milo, had a world to show me and a history to divulge to me. Luke doesn’t really do any of that. He just asks me what to say about his Academy during press conferences and then, well, flirts with me. So, when he comes over that afternoon, I’m not exactly thrilled.
