Jack’s POV   The weeks turn into months, passing by in a blurry, miserable, confused haze of bitterness, loneliness, and self-loathing. Every morning I wake up, I make a mental note of exactly how many days are left until Harper is gone from my life forever. Forty-six. Thirty-three. Twenty. Ten. And then, this morning. Two. Two days. Forty-eight hours until the very possibility of my ever seeing Harper again is ripped away from me by the cold, hard fate that has taunted me for most of my life.
